Anybody ever been blocked in?
I'd rather pull up to a curb but don't because I don't want someone to pull behind me and block me in. I sometimes see one cart behind another and wonder if they came together, or is the owner of the cart behind so inconsiderate as to block someone in. Has anyone ever been blocked in and if so what did you do?

To date, I have never been blocked in. Interested if this has happened to anyone....
The only time anyone should park behind someone (blocking them in) is if the person gives them permission to. I do park one cart behind the other when I go somewhere with someone in their own cart as it saves half the parking space for another cart. |
I've never been blocked in, in 4 years. When our ladies golf group goes out for lunch, then we might park 4 per space at restaurants. Not a problem for us because we all generally leave at the same time. If someone has to leave earlier and they might have a tough time getting their cart out, ladies who own the blocking carts just go out and move their carts.
I've got to hope and believe that unless you are with a group of people, others just won't park behind you and block you in. |
Was blocked in once. Released the brake on the offending cart, rolled it out of the way, and then backed mine out. Rolled the other cart back so it wouldn't get hit.

I got blocked in by Urban Flats not too long ago. Some nice guys came out of the bar and pushed the other cart out of the way. I thought it was really inconsiderate of the other cart.

Was blocked in once, released their brake, pushed it into the street and left it there. Also was another time, but caught the people as they were leaving their cart. They said oh "I didn't know we shouldn't" see others parked like that.
Unless you know the person, are traveling with them, get permission, or are going to stay with your cart until they return, you should never do it. It's just rude. Or if you do it to me, don't be shocked to find your cart in the middle of the street. |

I get blocked into my own driveway. I'm on the corner and the lady across the street is agorophobic so everything comes to her. Her pool person and landscape people, etc always park in front of her house which is at the end of my driveway. I've been late for work because of this. Now I go and knock on her door and tell the offender to move their landscaping truck & trailer, etc.

Any better ideas?

BUT I think there must be a way to make the same point. Anyone have any good ideas besides tipping it over on its side? |

You might just leave them a note....maybe they just didn't think it through or maybe they just don't care. At any rate, they would know that it did not go unnoticed and that you were not a happy camper with the situation. (Might make it a big note, too, while you're at it.):clap2:

If you had this installed on your cart and used it if you were blocked in, I bet it would get everybody out on the street. More effective than a note. LOL

Blocked in
Nobody is ever really blocked in . If you pust the other cart in nuteral you can push it out of the way. But don't leave it out in the street. If you can push it out it doesn't take that long to push it back. Some day you to might need a spot in a hurry. JMOO!!
