Dust in home

Anyone have issues with dust all the time. seems soon as I dust the next day it’s back. Have you been able to rectify the situation

Is your home new or in an area where there is a great deal of construction? Fernandina village (OPs location) hmmm, seems less likely.

We have a central vacuum, so all the dust we vacuum up is sucked to the bag in the garage. Getting the dust out of the home is different than catching some of in in a vacuum that is within the environment that it is cleaning.

There will be plenty that disagree with this, I am sure. No comment if it is worth the price paid for dust removal, but is worth it for spouse happiness.

If you do not disturb the dust by touching it, it hardly notices.
We found that out when we changed our house cleaning program from pristine too squalor!

Dust is caused by many things...when you open and close an outside door pollen and dust come in...all the clothes in your house shed dust particles....people provide dead skin...carpets...opening a box, letter or package...paper products, cereal...furniture...the list is endless and since it's nice year round dust accumulates faster.

I suggest doing away with as many dark toned furniture as possible...then it isn't as obvious(yes it's still there)

check you a/c filter It may be dirty also check the vents in the house They may be the culprit

If you have tile floor, might be the reason, carpet collects that dust. We have a similar problem, plus a hairy four-pawed canine. Phewww!

We recently moved our dryer to paint behind it, and discovered the folks who installed it left a loosely connected vent. Lots of lint and dust behind the machines. DH secured the vent, and our house dust decreased quite a bit.

My house is still dustier than I'd like.

you know it! we just had tile floors put in & i swear i must sweep the floor 2x a day. what 1 dog doesnt shed, the other will make up for. best item, imo is the rubber broom: the kind you see hairdressers use.

do you have an outside filter for incoming air to your heating/AC system? Check it and make sure it is not missing and is clean.

Ac is a closed system but I change that filter every 6 months

I dusted once, but it just came back. I'm not falling for that again.

I believe that is how dust works. You dust one day and it returns the next.
