Eating Out

With the food prices on the rise, what is your restaurant habits, do you eat out once or twice a week, once a day, or very seldom?

My neighbor (snowbirds) told his wife once that thing with the glass door in our kitchen is called a stove and she should try to use it sometime. :boxing2:

I had a waiter inside TV tell us that TV people never cook and didn't understand why
they build kitchens in those homes, do you agree?

Normally eat dinner out 3 nights a week and lunch 2 to 3 times a week. When we eat dinner at home takeout 1 or 2 times a week. Remaining nights a salad and fish or beef cooked outside on the grill.

Only eat out these days when there is well spaced outside dinning. Otherwise, it’s takeout that we eat sitting by the pool in our birdcage while watching the sunset. We let someone else do the cooking a couple times per week.

We cook most nights, eating out maybe once a week with friends.

We rarely go to a restaurant to eat. Rather, we invite friends in or go to their houses for dinner. Have to admit that we totally redid our kitchen to make it much more cook friendly. I realize that the designers are more open to different ideas today, however, they were pretty unimaginative 6 years ago. Hence we went with a basic kitchen which we had an outside firm completely redo.

Oven is a 4 letter word.

When looking at preowned homes for sale, cleanest or totally unused is the oven. Have seen some 10yo homes with the stickers still in the oven window.

I personally LOVE to cook and entertain, but lately we have found we are having a HUGE breakfast, a light lunch and often ordering a single entrée for P/U from the country club to share for dinner.......we did not do this, or would I ever have imagined it pre-COVID.....

I got two steaks at Walmart today, $44 bucks. Now what would they cost at Publix??? Needed 5 pounds of sugar. All selfs empty except for 2 domino’s left. Only the beginning. Luckily I already got grandkids Xmas presents.

We go out for dinner 2-3x per week plus once breakfast and now a lunch one for me.

More than we have ever done on a long term basis in our married life.

Most females that we have met apparently do not know where their oven is.:a040::a040:

It’s more of a social event. Food is secondary
