Covid booster shot

Yesterday I went to Trailways Publix and got my Moderna Booster shot. I signed up for an appointment online and when I arrived yesterday the whole process was very well organized. I was in and out in no time at all. I highly recommend Publix for the booster.

The OP was simply relating his experience on getting the booster. Nothing more, nothing less...

Everyone has made up their mind on this. The incessant yapping about it will do nothing to change that...

My bad.
I received my covid vaccination from Publix also and they did a great job and were very efficient both times.

Booster at Publix - quick and easy process

We got ours at Sams two weeks ago, hardly any reaction at all.

First booster appointment was at Paramount Urgent Care. That was AWFUL. They scheduled appointments 5 minutes apart and were even taking walk-ins. One couple told us they had been waiting 2 hours and had had an appointment. They had a sign out front that really irritated me that said they were under-staffed, to be patient with them. They weren’t under-staffed. They were over-extended. It was in their control to make that a better experience for their customers. I cancelled my appointment - i didn’t want to have them compensated for their greed through me - but my husband did wait for his shot because he’s immunocompromised and needed the shot. He waited over an hour.
I made an appointment through Walgreens, and had an very pleasant, professional, and organized experience. My initial shot had been with Publix, and I also very much appreciated their process. I highly recommend either of those two.

How do you know they were not understaffed? Do you know how many employees were supposed to be there? As a current pharmacy employee at a busy pharmacy that regularly has 8-10 people working at a time, the loss of any one of those people changes how it runs.

Note that, when you get the Moderna booster at Publix, you can either get a half dose or a full dose. If you want a full dose, you need to self-certify that you have an immune deficiency condition, but no official medical document is required. So, I guess it is your decision to make. I got the half dose.

I went to Wedgewood Publix with an appointment and left after 1 1/2 hours. Went to Villages Discount Pharmacy near Brownwood Hotel and got booster and flu and out in 8 minutes! Wonderful.

Babubhat 11-08-2021 06:34 AM

Got it with no reaction. Took five minutes

Got the Moderna booster in the doctors office, 3 days now of headaches and sore arm. Side effects similar to 2nd shot in April, just seem to be lasting longer.

Incorrect. The OP simply stated his experience getting the booster. Nothing more, nothing less.

The post I responded to recommended NO shot, NO booster.

If you can't see the difference...

Took my 96 year old mother to Publix at Spanish plains for a 3:15 appointment. We waited 1hour 15 minutes before being called back. After waiting that long she was exhausted. Poor organization. My husband and I went to Colony Plaza Publix and both received shots in 10 minutes. My side effects were harsh and still linger. Glad to be done.

Same here. Went to my doctor’s office for my Moderna booster and was sick, at least, for the next 24 hours. Just as bad as the second injection! I asked if I had received the 50% strength and they said no, they were only giving the full 100% strength doses. I never would have known if I hadn’t asked, point blank. This was last week.

I had the same express experience at Walgreens via their website too. In out in 5 minutes.
