Number of pets

I have two dogs and a cat. Does this exclude me from village ownership?

Don't ask, don't tell

I've seen a couple walking multiple Great Danes....

Neighbor across from us moved in with two cats and two dogs....granted the cats stayed inside and the dogs were little dust mops

Why would you think it would?

You need to read the restrictions for the CDD where you plan on living. So the answer is, it depends.

My understanding is there is a 2 pet limit but if you have more you are fine, you just can’t get any new pets until you are under 2. If the cat is an inside cat then you are fine.

Two pet limit, it's in the deed restrictions.

I have known several people who moved here with more than 2 pets with the agreement to keep it to two once one passes on. only people you invite into your house may know you have a cat, unless the cat is like mine and hides whenever someone comes in.

A totally unenforceable and unenforced agreement.

Babubhat 11-14-2021 06:20 PM

Only courts get to say what is unenforceable

Not every district. Most limit number to two pets, some restrict the number to one. District 13 has no restrictions on the number of domestic pets. Important thing, that was mentioned previously, is to read your deed restrictions as it pertains to your specific district.

You can bring whats U got.

Gpsma 11-14-2021 07:47 PM

That restriction is probably to keep old cat ladies from hoarding 25 cats in their home.

True Service Animal’s are not counted as a pet. Fish on the other hand have to be reported weekly.:MOJE_whot:
