All districts are different I have owned 3 houses in 13 years and all three Billages are a 2 pet limit Read your deed restrictions. They will enforce it if you get caught

Law is strange to say the least. Cats are sort of in a different group. For example should you hit a cat with your car you do not even need to report it.

In my area the deed restriction is one pet but that rule is routinely ignored.

District 5 deed restrictions state a two pet limit. A friend in Ashland was busted by a nightmare neighbor. She had an old inside dog, a cat and 3 little birds. She had to give up the birds. (He seemed to get unhinged at the smallest thing and had a gun fettish so she didn’t want to fight it.)

Most of these tales there is a lot of details missing. Why would a neighbor know their neighbor has an inside dog, whatever that is, a cat and three birds small or not?

For that matter why would the pet owner know her neighbor owns guns.

Clearly there was friction between them and there are two sides to every story. There is that policy of anonymously turning in neighbors. There is that reality or perhaps fiction of villages trolls. When these things get started people tend to react in kind making it an unhappy situation for all.

Wow, I see someone suggest don't see, don't tell.
So everyone else must suffer or over the rules except a few, that person would be the first one I turned in for such a stupid reply

This not true for all districts. Some restrict to one pet, most restrict to two pets and at a least one new district does not have restrictions on the number of domestic pets.

as you can see by the variety of replies, choosing a neighborhood is important. some have a spirit of the law vs letter of the law and some have the nosy nellies who will report everything.
