I just saw this Groupon for a BJ's membership $20. This also includes coupons for breakfast items.

Also look in your mail, email, newspaper for (used to be) 6 months free or maybe now 3 months free due to shrinkflation when they get close to opening. And if you don't like Groupon here is $25 for a year as well direct from BJ's: $25 for 1 years worth of BJ's in LL

The 6 months free was actually more expensive than the $25. Since the yearly membership is $55, a 6 months free deal would cost you $27.50 :)

Absolutely true assuming one liked it enough to renew. We didn't (up north) so we stuck with Costco and SAM's so we SAVED the $55. :D SAMs was 1/4 mile from BJ's on the same road and both were about 3/4 miles from our former home. Then our daughter joined and she put us on her BJ's account and we have been members for free for the last 10+ years although I think we went there maybe 3 times in all those years. :1rotfl:

Does the Groupon offer for membership start now or when it opens? The $25 offer says it is contingent on renewal. Can you opt out after a year?

Any business that wants control over my credit card, is a no for us. So that $25 to join BJ’s gives them exclusive right to charge your CC for renewal.

You can always opt out.

I don’t know what it is….I can even get past the old store feel…..but when it comes to getting the scissors out and cutting coupons the old fashioned way I’m hooked !

I don't understand joining one of these stores at our age and I especially would not travel 60/70 miles to get to one... if I had a big family and bought in bulk then maybe I could see it.. most of our purchases are what do you feel like for dinner tonight and go buy it.. I can't ever remember since moving to TV 20 yrs ago doing the lets go on our once a week fill up the shopping cart run

I don't get it. I thought a BJ's membership was valid at any BJ's store and online. Does this just apply to the free breakfast items?

But, I never liked Groupon anyway.
