greasy circles from dead bugs on garage door

1 Attachment(s)
It looks like a lot of small dark insects (love bugs?) sought refuge on our garage door in last night's downpour in DeSoto. This morning I swept off the carcasses only to find some greasy looking circles under their dead bodies. How do I get these circles off? Thanks. I have never seen this, but my first try would be Dawn dish soap and some scrubbing.

If that doesn't work, I would use a bug and tar remover from an auto supply store. Rinse it off quickly from the painted areas.

If your door has been painted don't scrub too hard. If it is factory finish go for it. It is very strange I see numerous garage doors a day and have never seen that.

When dew forms overnight, that long wet environment could soften it up so that it just wipes away.
You can open your garage door and stop it halfway if you tap the button a second time. Less bending.

Try cutting lemon in half and rubbing lemon pulp and juice on the spots and rinse off.

Magic Eraser if dish soap and water doesn’t work

Good golly not molly

I find baking soda works well for many cleaning jobs. Try a pre test spot first. Give it a day to see how it comes out
good luck

At the auto parts store get some Wesley's Bleche White tire cleaner. This will get the bugs off your car too.

Laundry detergent, full strength, apply it leave it for a couple of minutes, then scrub it off with a sponge or something similar that will not scratch your paint, then rinse with your garden hose. Laundry detergent is formulated to wash away organic compounds.

yes, or some oxy-based detergent. let it soak on a bit. i haven't seen that before, but the white spots look like lovebug eggs?

Dark circles

I'm a biker and on rides come in contact with lots of Lovebugs. I use this old biker trick and spray what ever and anything with hydrogen peroxide. It won't hurt anything you spray it on. Full strength from a spray bottle......Try it!
