PGA Tourney

13 & 16 greens...................so close.

Would be interesting if one hole had a choice of greens.

Have two greens on one hole, different difficulties..........let the golfer choose.

They had 2 guys hosting a show with numerous guests such as Peyton Manning and Ken Griffey that did nothing but yak about fishing and football and recipes, while the other half of the screen had some golf shots, but little mention of who was hitting it, which hole, where they stood etc. If you want a laugh, they're doing the same tomorrow, also 1-2. I think they also continued coverage on one of the ESPN channels with the same "dynamic duo" for the rest of the round------I'd commit suicide if I had to watch that.

That was on ESPN. But, the actual live coverage was on ESPN+, which requires an additional streaming service subscription to get the channel.

The trend with most television sports coverage these days, is that the show is more about the presenters, and 'experts' and that the actual game/tournament/match is just the side show.

Like the 12th Hole on Pine Barrens, at World Woods in Brooksville?

The same thing happened at The Masters. The Golf Channel aired a show called "Live at The Masters" while the actual live tournament was being aired somewhere else. Some people thought they were watching the live coverage on the Golf Channel.

No, the coverage on ESPN+ was of the morning wave
The afternoon wave was on ESPN1
"Coverage" started at 1PM with this dog and pony show on ESPN2, prior to the real coverage on ESPN1 from 2-8PM. The dog and pony show continued for God knows how long on ESPN2. Same thing today, except I won't even bother recording 1-2

Jus wondering....................are both greens open and the player gets to choose??

(I know it would slow down play, but a fun twist)

Here is the tournament TV schedule from PGATour.com:

MAY 19, Thursday

ESPN+, 8:05 AM - 2:00 PM EDT
ESPN, 2:00 - 8:00 PM EDT

So, the only live tournament coverage scheduled from 1PM to 2PM was on ESPN+.

More like Sarasota in the Villages. Little Hole, Big Hole, player choice after drive. Best ball if matched golfers agree. Tees allowable on fairways. Ball drop next to green if any water encountered. Ball collection acceptable while searching for your lost ball. Limit of strokes enforced to keep up the pace of the game. Only one "Mulligan" per hole. Personal choice for "gimme" putts. Aiming at course workers and sand cranes acceptable. Free drop on green to avoid goose droppings. All nonchalant putts are considered good. Golf carts optional but riding on the green that is not aerated and sanded requires sticker. Potties every 4th hole. Men seat up, women seat down, all others optional.

Real golf , just like it was meant to be.

OK, I understand now. I was hallucinating for the hour I watched the dog and pony show from 1-2 on ESPN2.:ohdear::ohdear::ohdear:

I think that ESPN2 is a different channel from ESPN+.
