Brownwood square is holding a New Year's eve party from 5 to 9, is it me or does this sound like a kiddie party. What about the next 3 hours? The Hooligans are not to be bashed, they are a good band. Just the hours.

The Hooligans did NYE on London time last year. They know their audience.

This is the villages people go to bed early

9PM is senior midnight.

Midnight mass is at 8 pm in The Villages.

9 pm sounds kind of late to me.

The Villages' Squares are pretty empty by 10:30 PM or so.

South of 44 is like a different timezone. Many of the parties start at 7-8pm and many people don't show up until well after that starting time.

Both Cityfires have a casino night 6-12.

Everything in The Villages ends at 9pm all year round. New Years is mo different. We are seniors.

It’s not just the hour, but the temperature.
 

December 31 can be quite cold here, and more than several hours in it might not be tons of fun. A good after party may well be the answer.
