How many of these Best Picture winners have you seen?

Every Oscars Best Picture Winner From 1927 to 2022 - Variety

There are a couple of the 1920 and 1930 winners I have not seen and several winners in the past ten years I have not seen yet like The Artist, Parasite, Moonlight, CODA and Nomadland.

But have seen most of the nominees for almost every year.

CODA - Rotten Tomatoes

I do not think I could find CODA anywhere but Apple TV.

I have seen none of the 'Best" pictures since the 2009 winner. There is only one of the more current winners would I consider watching. I have seen most of the movies between the 30's to thru 2009 at one time or other.

There are some very good Best Picture winners after 2009-- Green Book and Argo come to mind. Green Book - Rotten Tomatoes

Side ramble. I just saw a photo of Brendan Fraser in 'The Whale'. I read that a "fat suit" and other items were used for his role as a 600 lb man. What a change from the first movie of his I saw (The Scout) back in the 1990's. He always made the quirky type of movies that I enjoy.

I will probably skip that one.

Fraser has made some fun movies!

Both Green Book and Argo are terrific films. If you haven't had the pleasure, you have a treat in your future.

The King's Speech is another very good movie. And also a recent Oscar best picture.

Some people have seen no Best Picture winners? I find that very hard to believe. A lot of the Best Picture Oscar winners are very deeply ingrained in our culture-- The Godfather, Dances with Wolves, Patton, On the Waterfront, One Flew over the Cuckoo's Nest , Chinatown, and all those Best Picture winners from the 30s, 40s and 50s.

The “Best” pictures are generally not that good. Never know what they are watching when they pick them.

Seven people have not seen any Best Picture Oscar winners in their lives?

Someone as usual is making a fun exercise into something it is not. Or someones.

Yep ! Kind of a game some people like to play I think.

I have seen a few "best pictures" over the years. In the last several years I see "best picture" as a red flag to avoid it. They are typically a vehicle for virtue signaling and hold no interest for me.

Yep ! Kind of a game some people like to play I think. I'll have to look this one up... remember as a kid being absolutely thrilled when my parents took me to the "big" city to see a "CinemaScope" movie... the Greatest Show on Earth. What a thrill to see Ringling Brothers & B.B. on a screen that size. One of my all time top movies, due to the incredible way it was able to produce a stark warning of what communist socialism really is, against an "innocent" and mesmerizing love story, exactly what Pasternak had to do to get the truth out. Another all time favorite book and movie is The Last Emperor. Guess I also have to add Lawrence of Arabia to that list, learn something new each time I view that one, and same with Dances with Wolves. "Epic" is the perfect adjective for such films !
