To the couple in the late model German convertible crossing Rolling Acres today
You owe me a pair of underwear. I was the one standing on the concrete traffic control divider on the east side of Rolling Acres Road near the Comcast store waiting to cross the road just after 1100 am today. You left the Petco parking lot which is marked right turn only and proceeded to cut left at a pretty high speed, bounced across the first concrete divider separating traffic on Rolling Acres and continued across the second divider where I was and raced into the Comcast/Starbucks parking lot. It's a good thing your German convertible has a solid suspension because it got a good workout today. So did my bowels when you nearly ran me over.

Yes, I too saw them working a few days ago. Wonder if the prison sentence for killing an innocent road worker is more than killing a villager ? Now it has me thinking, could this be the very same German convertible sports car that pulled into 466 Publix a couple months ago around 6 p.m., at a VERY HIGH rate of speed, several of us coming out of Publix JUMPED as it squealed by, the guy "literally flew" into the disabled spot in front of the liquor store, did not bother to open the door, but actually JUMPED out of the driver's seat over the side of the CAR ! Looked at least 55, so must be in good shape, and RAN into the liquor store maybe "Fritz" needs his alcohol as much as his caffeine ???? |
Maybe they were car thieves or carjackers.

German convertible?
Audi, BMW, Mercedes, Opel, Porsche, Volkswagen |
The good news is you didn't get hit.

You do realize that the chances of them reading this forum are very slim?
If you want to vent, just do it. No need to address someone who won't see it and even if they did, they won't admit it. |
Love those German cars.

This particular part of Rolling Acres has been a problem for years. People exiting the shopping center were Target is, and cutting across to the shopping center where Starbucks/Xfinity is located. As fast as the road crews replace the stanchions, they get mowed down. I’ve seen at least three accidents at that particular location. |

I think the road construction exacerbates the situation. There's just no easy way to get around the congestion and construction legitimately. |
Very happy that you’re ok, OP. Can’t take anything for granted. I have a friend who likes to do what he refers to as “advanced driving skills”. I told him the cops in Florida have “advanced” copping skills. But, under no circumstances would he frighten anyone. He actually can drive, driver trainer etc. Took some persuasion, but he is driving more normally these days.
An aside if I may, I was driving down on Odell at traffic speed at 1:30 pm - suddenly a red SUV pulled out from a side street, Devonshire Way, and crossed over, dead ahead of me, to the opposite direction on Odell. Never slowed at the stop sign, did not in anyway signal. Golf cart at my side so no swerving. Very happy with my car brakes! |
