Mail in voting EMAIL notice

Both myself and my wife received emails stating that:
Your Vote-by-Mail request has EXPIRED.
Now I am confused as I always check the box on a voters form that I want to continue to vote by mail. I call the number on the form, talk to a very nice lady and was informed that a law was passed that voters need to reregister their desire to vote by mail every voting cycle (I think I got that correct). I was able to do this over the phone.
I almost thought this was a SCAM or SPAM email, so be careful.

A recent change to Florida voting law now requires you to re-register to vote by mail for each general election. The email could have been a scam but the requirement is real.

An unnecessary change to the vote by mail process.

Fewer dead people will likely be voting this way?

And Florida?

Somehow were suppose to discuss this without injecting politics. I can't do it, I'm out.

Don't you just luv how facts and proof have disappeared as being the standard and opinions, hearsay and theories of all kinds have become the gold standard.

My children say Dad's serious warning to us when we were young was "you are tip-toeing up to the line". In today's world I ask myself "at what point is a lie a lie".

Anything to make it harder to vote.

Keefelane66 03-04-2023 09:23 AM

I registered on line and received email receipt confirmation

Unless one is infirm or is not going to be near one's polling place during the voting days, why would you vote by mail when it is a short cart ride to voting booth here in TV?

For Villagers and with early voting, that makes sense. But there is a lot of Florida outside the Villages and a lot of Floridians who are not yet retired, have a golf cart, and can make a short ride to the voting booth here in TV.
