Moles in your yard

what can be done to get rid of moles in your yard

You can buy Mole pellets at Lowes, HD. etc and follow the instructions. I would also treat the yard with a pesticide to get rid of the food source. Mole crickets can infiltrate a lawn and do a massive amount of root damage in a short period of time.

The quick answer is you have to get rid of their food source.
Its normally grubs and earthworms that they are coming up to eat and thus push thru the grass layer., making mounds and trip hazards. Gas bombs and traps really dont work.
Once you knock down the quantity of food avail to them, they will generally move on.
You don't have a mole problem, you have a worm problem.
Just be sure its actual moles and not another animal that your dealing with...lol

You need one of these, or a pest control person if you cannot DIY.

If you kill your worms, you kill you soil!

Using Milky Spore is the long term solution to get rid of the grubs and you won’t have a mole problem. They sell it on Amazon

Do you have moles or voles ? I believe moles tunnel and you can follow the path above the ground. A vole tunnels deeper and you cannot see its path.

Hmmmm.....interesting, but if you can't see the path then how would a person know they have a "vole" problem?

You see where they come up just not the length of the tunnel. I think the cure is the same get rid of the grubs

How do I get rid of rhinoceroses? (just kidding)

I had a vole eat the insulation off one of the main power lines (underground) causing the wire to deteriorate, which caused one of the 120 volt lines to fail and cause half the circuits not to work in my house. I called the power company (SECO) and they came out, found the broken wire and patched it (after a few weeks) at no cost to me. In the meantime, they hooked some kind of unit to give me the use of the broken line (with half the amperage).

Place a larger food supply in your neighbor's yard.

Put bubble gum in the runs that you see. Cheap and effective as their bodies can’t digest the gum
