Alien (1979). Spoilers Possible.

Alien - Rotten Tomatoes

This is really an excellently acted, written, directed, etc., movie. One of the best.

Davonu 05-07-2023 10:32 PM

One of my all time favorites.

Great movie! And Aliens (2nd movie) was an edge of your seat thrill ride for the whole movie.

There are many people who live in The Villages area who were not even born in 1979.

the monster itself, created by H.R. Giger was a work of awe

They put a very tall actor in a costume in the first Alien movie.

Yes. There are a large number of home health care, lawn care, housecleaning, Villagers' sons and daughters, Village workers' kids, etc., who are under 40. Not sure how many of these read Talk of the Villages.

Aliens (#2) was even better than the first..........ground breaking type of fear.

This is a must-see movie if you enjoy scifi-thrillers.

i agree with you 100 %. My rule of thumb for me is which alien franchise film i would view over and over again. Aliens takes home the prize.
However
homage must be paid to the original alien and also to the grandaddy from which it was inspired
ED.NOTE:
I HAVE EDITED OUT PLOT DETAILS AS TO NOT BE SPOILERS.

Umm....80% of all the properties in the villages have to be owned by somebody over 55.....

I consider both Alien and Aliens to be great movies. I see them as almost different genres though. My wife and I went to see Alien before we heard or read anything about it. We figured we were going to see some light sci-fi, probably Star Wars-ish. It scared the living you-know-what out of us! We loved it!!

Aliens came across more of an action sci-fi. But again...absolutely enthralling!!

I won't talk about the rest of the movies in the franchise, but the first two are on my all time favorites list. :)
