The understaffing of Coleman is a concern
 

This issue is a concern we all need to monitor,

Statement by credible Employee:

“While this number may sound sufficient, FCC Coleman is short staffed by 100 officers. This translates to 554 officers split between five institutions and five shifts, attempting to supervise 6,219 individuals convicted of committing crimes such as murder, drug trafficking, and sexual violations of our most vulnerable population, children,” Perry said.

The leadership of FCC Coleman reported staffing numbers at 91 percent.

“However, the complex suffers with daily vacant posts of approximately 175 positions equating to a staffing percentage in the 70’s,” Perry added.

Credible employee? Union leadership. Who usually have an agenda.

Im less worried about inmates getting out then those on the outside that should be in there.

It's been that way for years they're trying to get what they want by using scare tactics.

No big deal, as long as there’s only one escape a year…..

Might be able to hire staff if they weren't union.

Not sure if it was that way for years BUT I also wonder what their agenda is for going to Wildwood to raise the flag. The prison has a little over 10% of their positions open and are trying to fill them. What can Wildwood do! They are just using scare tactics to get something in return from the prison. Unfortunately, there are people that will panic and will "spread the scare".

When you were younger, when the company was short staffed we all pitch together to still get the job done until they could hire help. We maybe did not like it but we did not try to start a panic!

If they’re short staffed by 10% just keep the convicts locked up 10% longer each day.
