Spanish Springs Web Cam

A few days ago the Spanish Springs web cam was off line as it had been totally removed from it mount above SS. It is now back and clearer than ever. Not sure if they just cleaned things up or totally replaced the Axis PTZ camera but whatever they did it is a great improvement.

It is a much clearer picture. Wish that the LSL camera was as clear. Maybe that one will be replaced?

Wow, what a difference! Thanks for the heads up.

I wish I could make the picture bigger on my computer screen. It only comes on as about a 2"X3" picture. Anyone able to enlarge it to full screen?

Hit control + at the same time. Can be done repeatedly until you like the size. If you get outlines and the picture size doesn't increase hit refresh.

Thanks for the tip- unfortunately I tried it and there was no change. My + key is on the same key as = and requires the use of the shift. I tried Ctrl/+ and Ctrl/shift/+ to no avail. Any further tips?

Nice for those of us not there yet.

Gave you a wrong move. Try holding down control key and then hitting +/- key.

If you are using IE 7 or 8 just hold the ctrl key use the scroll wheel on your mouse (assuming you have a wheel mouse connected to your computer).

You can also increase the size by changing the percent in the lower right corner of the screen window.

Note of caution!! after you are done you will need to reset your window back to 100% or every web page you go to will be larger in size.

If you are using Safari on a MAC, click on "view" on the status line and then click on "zoom in". If you still want to increase the size, you can repeat that process as many times as you want.

These webcam sites really show up clearly on an iPad when you pinch (zoom) out. Can't quite read the license plates on the cars but can tell the time on the clock at LSL.

Quite an improvement in the cams.

Now they need to install the cameras that can be rotated and zoomed by the computer viewer.

I have always been able to access these webcams on my computer in the past. Just tried for the 1st time on my new computer and I am getting the following message: "The ActiveX Camera Control which enables you to view live image streams in Microsoft Internet Explorer, could not be registered on your computer".
Does anyone know what this means or how to fix it? Thanks in advance.

More than likely you have a setting on your browser options that is not allowing Active X to be installed.

Tools/Internet Options/Advanced - scroll down to security settings and look for active content switches. Turn them on and/or off until you can view.

Note: you many have to close all broswer windows and restart the browser for settings to be active/deactive.
