Been using Cal’s Barber Shop for 18 years. They just raised a men’s cut from $16 to $18. When driving outside the compound I have noticed Barber signs (Wildwood) for $8.00. Any suggestions for a good Barber at a more reasonable cost than Cal’s?

Inflation my friend. Great clips is $18 and they are not a barber but you can get coupons for less and I usually tip the difference. Maybe save by cutting it shorter and going less often? Btw, did your total cost increase include the tip?

Do it cheaper by:
Get a Flowbee Use a sharp razor and go bald Let it grow and your options: back to the 80s long, you might look awesome cool ponytail weirdo man bun - NO corn rows dreads might be nice at your age and you don't have to wash your hair for a year or to be the first in the village, go with pigtails |
After 18 years they raise the price by $2 and this is a problem?

Cal’s at Brownwood has been $20 for over a year now. I tried that $8 haircut at Brandy’s when we first moved here. Let’s just say you get what you pay for.

It's not 1975 any more, $18 for a quality hair cut for a guy is pretty cheap. Get with the times.

Actually Cal's at LSL has been $18 for some months now. I get my hair cut there every six weeks or so. The person who cuts it for me does an excellent job so I always reserve time with that person rather than just rolling the dice.
$18 (actually $22, with a $4 tip) is a bargain, especially when you know what you will be getting. And $8 cut? I don't know--might be OK but maybe not. Like everything else, you get what you pay for. |
