Happy Birthday this January 8 to Elvis Presley.

What is your favorite Elvis Presley song?

It's Now or Never is mine.

Burning Love

This has a strange history. I was at the Grateful Dead show at McArthur Court in Eugene, OR back in 1981. After the band finally left the stage at the conclusion of the second set and the lights came back on, the crew brought us all back down to earth with that song over the speakers. It worked. It's been a favorite ever since and it changed my opinion of Elvis.

My favorite is Suspicious Minds.

But, just curious, why wish a happy birthday to someone who is dead?

'Old Shep'
Once played this continuously for a neighbor whose dog kept barking.
(The original was about a dog that was poisoned.)
Didn't work, but it p*****d him off, and ruined his Sunday gardening!

PS.I also hear Elvis's BMI is now perfect.:icon_wink:

Fake news.
He was definitely seen last week at the local Publix!

No one knows what happens after you die. Why not wish a deceased star Happy Birthday? They could be around anywhere.

OK, please let us know if you get any response. By the way, today is also my mother's birthday, and she would have been 105.

There is a 2007 book about Ghost Hunters in the 19th Century who investigated various scams and found some things they had a very hard time explaining. It is by Deborah Blum and focuses on the work of William James.

It's also David Bowie's birthday; and Robbie Krieger of The Doors (among other of course).

And my Dad's (80). Taking him out to dinner this evening. Maybe I'll make an Elvis, Bowie and The Door playlist for the drive.

That is a cool birthday. Mine is actually 2-24 but I have some problems related to that birthday so I used 1-24 on here. But things are looking up as far as 2-24 is concerned. I do like to have some control about triggering events. I just donated $6.13 to the U of MN Law School Clinic as my best memories are attached to Legal Assistance to Minnesota Prisoners which was there back then. They seemed to have axed that Clinic though. 613 is another of these numbers. Number I had at a study on stress on the unemployed that was done over 17 weeks in 1992-1993 at the University of California San Francisco Health Sciences Campus.

Mine was Viva Las Vegas, I was never a big Elvis fan, I think I just like the movie because I like Ann Margeret.
