Cycle Store in Courtyard Villa
Hello all - We have a small garage, so would like to place a small cycle store in our back yard in our Courtyard Villa. No-one will see it, but just wondered whether we needed permission. Thanks

Operating a business on your property is not allowed, especially if you will have customers visiting.

I would contact Community Standards for guidance. A free-standing shed is not allowed, a shed attached to the house requires approval, and a temporary item like a gas grill does not require approval. The cycle store would seem to be more similar to the unattached shed than the temporary grill so it would be wise to get an official answer before spending the money.

Where are these approved stores at homes in TV?

We will have to wait to see if the OP clarifies, but the fact that the word "place" was used rather than "operate" makes me think the post was just misworded and he or she just wants to store a "cycle" (Bicycle? Motorcycle?) in the back yard. .....notwithstanding the literal wording of the post.
I doubt anyone really thinks you could operate business selling cycles out of your backyard. |
The OP is British. Words have different meanings across the pond.
|
This is correct. British terminology!!! A place to store a cycle.....

#1 - With all the negatives against the idea, the OP will probably no longer be a part of this and hope everyone forgets. But an unapproved shed of any type will eventually be caught.
#2 - No matter what it is you want, when you ask officially and they say yes, get it in writing. Down the road, as long as it is as specified in the request, they can't change their answer. #3 - If it's inside your garage, there are many stores/businesses in TV houses/villas. They just don't have signs. I'm sure someone is running a liquor house. Let's say John _____ owns a villa. People go in with a box to visit the sick man John, they come out with a box. As far as neighbors and police know, they went to visit John. 20 people a day can visit John. Suspicious yes, provable not so much. Been going on like that for over a hundred years. Or the used car salesman. List the cars online, then meets you over on some other street where he parks the cars. Cars could be parked all over the place. Odd but possible. Just insert what a person can sell, legal advice/representation, accounting, candy store, ebay store, hair salon, makeup artist, golf store, golf ball store, antique, what-nots, bike store, et cetera. FYI...candy store is not candy |
