Solar powered carts

I didn't see mention of anyone using solar to power those batteries, I'm at another park and there are several, they never plug them in, ok almost never.

They put a panel on top about the same size as the top, looks good and works.

Anyone see them here or hear about them?

Kathie, are you from the Bronx or DA Bronx?

The prices have dropped, and you can make your carbon footprint smaller as in green.

I'm going to look into it more.

Jimbo.... da Bronx is right.... When you meet me, you'll know I'm from da bronx.... LOL. :eclipsee_gold_cup:

Actually, I was looking for something else that I posted back then about solar powered carts but I can't find it - but thought the link might be helpful.... If not, no problemo....

Solar tops for electric

I have almost completed my review of a couple of cart choices for solar. I am moving toward the thin flexible design vs the hard style. Ok, they have a specific name as such, just not interested in that much detail to report here. Anyhow, I am anxious to get it, mount it and enjoy it. Biggest factor for me is battery life. To be constantly trickle charging my batteries while out and about so that I reduce the drain and build up of sulfides on the plates, is meant to extend battery life. Also, added range will be nice. I have a EZGO with a 6x8v system. Never a problem getting around TV. But why not abit of added insurance on range. Love the quiet, smell free ride with a smooooth drive train of my electric cart. My wife will never let me own a gas. (my filling station, ie outlet is built right into my garage. How nice of the building design was that?)

Great price right now, with a 30% tax credit and no sales tax either. Gotta luv it......
