Romney Presidency...........Day One
 

In a new campaign ad, Gov. Romney's campaign has released a video with an extremely positive message and vision.

Maybe it's some real and actual hope for a better future.

It made me actually smile when I watched it. (especially envisioning the frowns on the faces of the left)

Nice political ad. It was not negative and it was short!

The part about introducing lower taxes, etc sounds good but once again, it will have to get through the House, committees, and the Senate and probably would not be recognizable after all the changes - if it ever got through.

The Keystone Pipeline sounds good, too. However, is the technology advanced enough to make it worthwhile with the Athabasca Sands?

The repeal of Obamacare may be one of those things that you do not want once you get it. It's repeal would hurt many, many Americans including many people right here in The Villages.

Willard is very lazy. That's nothing. Newt would:

repeal Romneycare...
repeal Dodd-Frank .....
repeal Sarbanes - Oxley .....
Approve Canada-US oil piipeline ....
Abolish all WH czars ....
Shift US embassy in Israel to Jerusalem ....
Halt all US aid to groups that fund abortions overseas .....
repeal every act of religious bogotry by the Obama administration .....

ALL of the above by the end of Newt's first day. After all this, he will then be able to go to the inaguaral balls.

Willard is gonna have to do a lot more to top ole Newt.........

I feel taking the high road will inspire the middle of the road voters.

He is a politican, talk is cheap.

Good to hear he is taking the high road in a few states.

He cannot keep these promises though realistically. President Barack Obama had the same problems with promising too much in his campaign of 2008.

Oh and, as an afterthought, establish that base on the moon. :blahblahblah:

"Obama promised too much..." implies a measured presentation or accountability for promises made.

Politicians talk, say words, adjust what is SAID to suit the audience and say words that get support and then it is off to the next audience and what they would like to hear.

Obama and the current congress (that is R and D) are consistently categorized as making promises....they don't. Their record is proof that they say words, and do not make promises.

It is interesting that people viewing the same thing walk away from it with a different perspective.

First, I do not believe Obama promised too much. I believe Obama's deficits made he and his Administration incapable of planning and developing legislation that was realistic and attainable. Obama is not a leader. Ask any manager what happens if you ignore successfully selling an idea before its implementation. Its going nowhere or it will fail along the way if it isn't supported.

Mitt Romney is the first person in the political arena that has once again given me hope that we can once again return as the moral and superior leader of nations. Romney is right when focusing on solutions. He is doing what a great leader does...leading by example. His motives are unselfish and are a benefit to us all. We can once again take pride in being Americans. This guy is already having a beneficial affect on this nation, a nation that has longed for a visionary leader with a moral compass .

I think the immediate approval of the Keystone Pipeline and a country-wide state waiver for Obamacare, to stall it's entrenchment while the repeal effort is started, are two extremely positive steps toward an actual boosting of our economy.

This in contrast to the smoke and mirrors economic improvement on paper, that the Obama Administration touts, that is really people dropping out of the work force and giving up looking for work.

Give Romney a Republican Senate to go along with the Republican House and then he'd be on an even keel with what Obama had rolling into the presidency, and then you'd have a fair comparison.

Williard's chance of getting to the White House still depends on who he picks for his VP candidate. If he does a stupid thing like John McCain did in 2008, the race is lost AGAIN.

Pick a moderate instead of one from the looney bin and he has a possibility. However, many of the teapartiers will not go along with a moderate and want some wingnut that will bring the GOP back to a losing place once again.

Oh Boy! Nothing like a Liberal offering advice on who a Republican picks as a running mate.

Let's see. By "crazy Joe" I assume you are talking about the Vice-President of the United States, who was elected to the US Senate seven times starting at age 29, served as Chairman of the Foreign Relations Committee and Chairman of the Judiciary Committee. Is that the "crazy Joe" you mean?

Contrast his record to John McCain's pick to be one heartbeat away from a 72 year old man: president of the PTA, Mayor of Wasilla, AK (pop 8000) and half-term governor of Alaska.

VP Biden has traveled the world meeting with world leaders. Former Gov Palin doesn't know why there are two Koreas and can't find Germany on the map. Her own handler, Steve Schmidt, said she knows nothing.

I don't often agree with buggy, but he is telling the straight poop on this one. Romney needs to find a moderate Vice or Chance a loss in Nov. For sure he needs to stay away from the Virgina nut case. He would be worse than Palin or Sanitarium. I feel confident he will pick someone like Rubio.
