Need eye doc that sells glasses

I'm in serious need of a place in TV that will reinstall my old lenses in my frames. (my whole sad story is over in the TV thread.) Who can you recommend? I need a good size practice with a substantial eye glass story and good technicians.

Thanks,

Dave

Ocala Eye in Laural Manor on the corner of 466 and Buena Vista. I forgot to add that Dr. Elmallah at Ocala Eye is a great doctor. I googled his name and he's been highly trained (Harvard I think was one of the schools) here in the U.S. But have seen threads on TOTV that recommend other practioners as well in that practice.

Try Peepers in Colony Plaza 352-259-1621. Great Service

I second Peepers. Lab on premises. Great customer service.

Walmart on 441 is great!

Peepers

A third vote for Peepers. Attention to detail and great service.

Here's a forth vote for Peepers. My wife and I both went there after moving in.

All of you folks who like Peepers, do they have a doctor or is it just an eye glass shop? Also, as Gracie suggested this morning, I think I probably need to go see an Ophthalmologist. Any recommendations? The double vision is continuing and I can't tell if it's just because I don't have glasses that fit or it's something more.

Thanks again for the concern and the suggestions. I've really enjoyed this forum the last several weeks and getting to know some of you. Being here now and in a bit of trouble, it's nice to feel like I have some support.

Check to see what eye dr your insurance will cover if that is an issue for you. There are several very good opthal here.

Our insurance pretty much sucks any way, so I'd just like someone good.

Sometimes what your insurance pays for is not what you need yes i do believe you need an opthalmologist for your health and peace of mind. If the double vision was not there before the change of your glasses then its not just a screw up with wrong lens. Check the phone book make some calls, speak to them personally and see who you feel comfortable with. We are all thinking of you.

I agree Asianthree but I haven't gone to an eye doctor yet and surely someone will recommend someone good that can be trusted that they have used. A neighbor woke up with a retinal tear and was seen by the Lange Eye Institute on 466 near Publix. Another friend had cataracts removed at Ocala eye...(here in TV I think)

Oh please someone tell Dave someone who can be trusted.

Eileen just finished having both eyes operated on by Ocala Eye! We first went to Peepers and they referred her to OE to have the cataracts taken care of. She's very pleased with the results of those operations at Ocala!

The bad news is that I can no longer sneak up on her or sneak out at night without her catching me! :1rotfl:
