Does Romney have to be a Christian to Win

Why should Romneys Faith play such a big part in the Election?

Fox Host: Mitt Romney Obviously Not a Christian

I don't care what his religion is if he can save us from bankrupt status. Is that so wrong??????

Listen, have you seen some posts on here with thinly veiled shots at his religion. People are getting to be such low lives. If I had to accept the word of a man who had a press conference to say he should not be responsible for the words of a man who married him, counseled him, mentored him for TWENTY YEARS, then I do not want to hear one word about religion from any one.

I don't think in terms of religion. I think in terms of ethics morals good deeds unselfishness etc. Romney by speech and matter has always shown himself to conduct his business life in an ethical manner and his personal life helping others. The Obama's camp continues to portray Romney's business acumen as an evil thing. The Obama camp does so because 1) apparently they don't understand or support the free market system 2) the Obama machine is used to conducting business the "Chicago way" which according to its history is evil leading many of its leaders to be imprisoned

Nobody cares about his religion - tell him to release all his tax returns.

What is the big deal about releasing tax returns? Has DNC Chairperson Debbie Wasserman Schultz released hers yet? Since she has been in Congress, she has yet to do this, right?

Debbie Wasserman Schultz is not running for president and has absolutely no reason to release her tax returns. Congressmen are only required to fill out a financial disclosure statement. The title of this thread is "Does Romney have to be a Christian to Win".

The big deal about releasing tax returns is that every presidential candidate since 1968 has done it, and when one does not follow protocol, it makes people wonder why not.

Mormons are Christians. Their heaven has levels unlike that of the New Testament. And they seem very intolerant about other religions from what I remember of the Book of Mormon. Book of Mormon - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

First of all I am not the one who took an off topic shot about Romeny's tax returns. Second, there is no law that says a candidate for President must. Finally, Romney is not even the GOP candidate until nominated at the convention. He will release returns then.

Oh, and to get back on topic, Mormans are Christians.

and why is this..

"..and when one does not follow protocol, it makes people wonder why not...."

always, ALWAYS an exception for Obama.

Unfair and biased optics!

According to Roman Catholics and to the Baptists, Mormons are not Christians.

the only reason that you are anyone else wants him to release more tax returns is so that the news media and the Democratic party and presidents reelection team can have fun throwing innuendo after innuendo are nothing.

Mitt Romney is a good man and a moral man.

Why is an issue, a report describing a Fox News broadcast, that's over a year old being raised here again now?

Just wondering.

how about making it personal??

Let's have each and every one that is clamoring for Romney to release his past returns, make YOUR personal returns available for review by a group whose only intent is to look for the smallest no matter what infraction and make headlines of it. And in the process they will do everything in their power to make it look like you personally cheated or did something wrong or make up a story of how you collaborated to cheat the American people.

They would also try to do everything in their power to belittle you to and in front of every person or organization that meant anything to you..

And keep in mind to not get too upset that they will report on things they THINK you did or intended whether you did or not whether true or not.

We all know that tax payers will skate in the proverbial thin ice. Or add wrong to see if it gets found. Or include something that is an "honest mistake" or some other nebulous (you think) smallish cheat.
Remember it does not matter if yours is a rare one, squeaky clean....they will make something up that you will have to do your best to defend once they smear your name and intent.

OK so how many of you supporters who want this done to somebody else are ready to allow the same to be done to you????

How easy it is to ask and make demands when YOU do not have anything personally invested to affect YOU.

Look in the mirror first before some of you make such demands, with such holier than though demands. Unless you have really taken up the political mantle and no matter what you say or do or demand doesn't matter whether it is true or not as long as the party position is maintained. This is what I tolerate the least in the behavior of otherwise good citizenry or neighbors or family that act in such an inconsiderate, demeaning manner.

janmcn: given what we have witnessed going on in congress perhaps we should? I mean given the payoff, tax dodging, insider trading, etc perhaps their tax records ought to be a part of the public record so voters can decide when it is time for their re-elections and elections
