My pick is not on your list. Keep in mind that one measure of "worse" includes the depth and breadth of the effect said lies have on people

who I would choose (not on the list) had a penchant for lying that dwarfs that of anyone on the list, and for sure affected more people than those on the list did, combined.

I would have to vote for Bernie Madoff because of the amount of money involved in his swindle.

How ironic that the accountant I use for financial advice belongs to a union that had all of his retirement savings in a fund managed by Bernie Madoff. :(

I asked him when he was going to retire and he said he was going to have to work until the day he died. I'm sure he will be able to retire but not at the luxury level he envisioned.

While Bernie caused a great number of people to lose a LOT of money, in some cases life savings ..... I would have to say Nixon.
