Garden Wheelbarrow "disappears?"

Left wheelbarrow at curb with trash (not the first time), before garbage pick up, wheelbarrow "gone" but trash dumped in driveway....Would love to find used one for sale (in case person with sticky fingers returns) ...Anyone wanting to give their wheelbarrow a new home?

Things put at the curb are fair game for anyone that may want to help themselves.
This is not only the norm in TV................but in most all other places as well.

Yes to that. In Brooklyn where my daughter lived, people completely furnish their apartments "from the curb"

Free game for the taking at the curb. NO, nothing but trash curbside. If it isn't trash, don't put it there.

If I saw a wheelbarrow at the curb with trash in it I would assume you were throwing it away.

so did the guy who took it!

We place items at the curb wishing they would disappear.

We set our trash on the driveway, not the curb. NOBODY has any right to come our property and take what is sitting there. If I would see someone doing it, I would call the police and report them for stealing.

That theory has been tested before and it didn't work.

If it is sitting in the street it is on public property. In the driveway is on private property. Does that mean anytime you sit something on your property by the street someone can claim it.

Yep, pretty much so.

Forgive for not getting this. If it was trash, why do you care if someone took it? One man's trash is another man's treasure. The item is out of your hair. It was rude to dump your trash in the driveway to take it though.

That is pretty much a recognized signal that you wish to dispose of something - why else would it be sitting in our driveway, I assume close to
the curb???

I'm pretty sure that we don't own to the curb. I believe the property line is back 10 from the curb? Trash is also supposed to be close or at the curb for ease of pickup. The boys reach down lots of times to get it w/o getting off the truck.
