Saturday Delivery of the Daily Sun

Our newspaper that was delivered this morning is unreadable based on being soaked through and only single bagged. The storm during the night made a mess of it.

Called the Daily Sun and was informed they have no dry newspapers left so they can only credit another day to our subscription.

The Sun advised that they only double bag the newspaper when there is a 40% chance or greater of rain and last night was a 10% chance.

Bottom line, save the 15 minute wait on hold calling the Sun today.

As hard as it rained this morning, I think it would have been soaked if they triple bagged. :22yikes:

same thing happened to our paper-funny I slept through it and didn't hear a thing-

This was the 1st time in almost 4 years my paper was wet. As hard as it rained I'm surprised my floors weren't wet this morning. Great rolling thunder and lightning also. Hope everyone is OK today.

Ours have gotten a little wet once even when they double bagged it because of the way it landed on our driveway. the 3 pages were still readable after it dried.

My newspaper was double bagged. It was still to wet to read. It rained so hard I don't think anything could have saved the paper.

Wife picked one up at the vending machine in Brownwood.

Me too. first time in 5 years. My Orlando Sentinel was dry. Wondering if it was a matter of timing or the quality of the bag? Tried to get one at the Amelia postal station and there were none.

Stuff happens.....

The thunder woke me up at 4am and I went out and got the paper. It was still dry but I was surprised it was single bagged. This morning I got an email, all the neighborhood softball games have been cancelled due to the conditions.

At 8am you could not find a paper (wet or dry) in any of the vending machines at our local pool or in town. Finally went to Sweetbay and they only had 5 (dry) papers left...at 8am.

Happy to be able to provide material for your sarcasm. No one said it was a big problem.

Posting intended to inform and save people time on hold to the newspaper.
