Disappointing visit to KFC in SS

Ate lunch today at the combo TacoBell/Kentucky Fried Chicken on 441/27 in the Spanish Springs area. They were out of extra crispy chicken and biscuits. The restrooms were filthy. Should I be glad I didn't see the restrooms until after lunch? Still not sure!!!

Did you ask for and tell the shift manager?
There will be no improvement if they do not know about it.
Some chains have a web site where one can report issues like this to the corporate level.

I was under the impression that the place had been remodeled & was being kept clean. I admit I've not been there in a very long time as that last time there it was quite dirty & there seemed to be that " I don't care attitude" by the staff. Some things never change I guess.

KFC is always a little greasy looking wherever you go...well a lot of their franchises are. It is one of those things that you just have to walk in, buy their yummy chicken, go home and eat it and clog your arteries and continue on.

Next day you can think about it and resolve not to do it again.

Well, you all just gave me a good idea for lunch today with plenty of leftovers. Our KFC happens to be one of the good ones, always clean.

Yummy crispy chicken, cole slaw, etc.........we always get extra buckets for leftovers........with all the bags of laundry I have to wash and dry today, it will be a blessing.....

We ate fairly healthy on vacation thanks to our middle aged adult children who did a lot of the grilling and cooking........when we didn't eat out and indulge.

I wanted a "vacation from laundry" even though there was a washer and dryer........and now I have to pay the price with two weeks of accumulated stuff.....

So, KFC for the next two days until I get caught up.
Yesterday, we ordered pasta bread bowls from Dominoe's Pizza who delivers......and Philadelphia Cheese Steak Sandwiches with peppers and onions...........I am NOT trying to aggravate the vegans out there. We had tons of bags to carry in and unpack and our carpenter turned off the electricity to put back on the wall switchplates.............

KFC here we come......

Go to the drive thru; you don't have to see who's handling it under what conditions!!

Have you tried the deal from Publix where you get your choice of a deli rotisserie or fried chicken, two sides and the Hawaiian rolls?

This location has improved dramatically since the remodel. Has been clean and the attitude of the staff has also been much better.
No excuse but, many restaurant restrooms can get in bad shape quickly.
Too bad you did not bring up your issues with management.

We went there last year and haven't been back. So dirty, grimy actually. Staff indifferent. Left without ordering. Looks like nothing has changed.

That's what hubby does. The drive through. His only pet peeve is that they get the orders screwed up a lot (in Vermont....not TV) so he does go in when it's a larger order. Everything is clean up here. It all depends on the management.

davecz1 08-25-2013 07:50 AM

Gave it 3 tries. All bad. Spoke to manager, emailed corporate. Gave us a free family meal. Attitude was awful. We will never go back. Food ok, service and attitude the worse I have ever experienced.

PennBF 08-25-2013 09:02 AM

Ditto

We also stopped in a year or so ago and went through the Drive Thru. It was terrible. The drive in window was filthy, the sever that gave us the food was not too clean. net: everything in sight was dirty. We never went back and unfortunately it also ruined us for other KFC's as if they accept one they most likely have real low standards. :swear:

kfc just is not on our list...as is most fast food

Have been there twice in three years. The place is dirty, restrooms nausiating, etc. Never again will they see me.

As for telling management , if they are that blind and ambivalent as to not recognize the problems, they should be fired . Who are the owners of this francise?:crap2:

Take a tour of the areas where your yummy chicken is stored and prepared. It might indicate that the status of the rest room is only the tip of the iceberg in the cleanliness department. Take a kitchen tour of many restaurants, not only fast food, and you might decide that it's a lot better to eat at home.

Lower your expectation level and you won't be disappointed.
