"WTF" moments...

On two separate occasions I observed the following here in our happy village:

- a gentleman helped an elderly woman, presumably his mother, into the Charlotte pool with large, visibly open and oozing wounds/sores on her legs...WTF! Not only is this a health risk to others but rather inconsiderate too. I made a quick exit, along with several others, and have not been back since.

- while dinning at Bonifay country club, two middle aged gentlemen decided that it was appropriate to have an elderly man sit at the edge of the booth seat and change the dressings on his leg covering several wounds...WTF! Smack dab in the middle of the dinning room...WTF!!

I don't get it! :mad::mad:

Even though for the most part The Villages is a beautiful community filled with great residents, theres always some inconsiderate moron that makes their way into the mix. These days I find myself saying WTF a lot. Just a fact of life but it still does not make it right.

Read back on some of your posts and you say you are 51. I always defend old people on this forum since this is where old people are expected to live. It is a retirement community and one can expect to find ELDERLY people.

I personally haven't seen any sore laden elderly people at my pool or any of the restaurants I frequent, but I am sure you were grossed out.

I say how about the younger folks who get in the pool with sexually transmitted diseases we can't see; Herpes, Chlamydia. etc.etc. etc......WTF?

Don't mess with old people.

Last spring while traveling by Cart on the 466A multi modal trail, a yellow cart flew by me going at least 30mph. Is this one of those moments? Be careful out there!

You had to remember way back to last Spring to being passed by a fast golf cart on the multi-modal trail? It happens at least once a week to me - and I have my cart set at 19.8 mph (according to my GPS).

I'm pretty sure you can't contract an STD from pool water.

I have a WTF moment at least once a day in a round about when someone in the left lane decides to make a right hand turn when they shouldn't. I guess when they cause an accident they will learn.

The left hand lane usually has the right of way. Look at the arrow signs as you enter the circle along with the lane striping.

It's the right hand lane that I see making the most mistakes by NOT turning when they should and cutting off the person in the left lane as they try to exit the circle. The right lane yields to the left. If you're crossing dashed lines that are leading out of the circle, you're wrong, the left lane has the right away there. I'm afraid you may be giving others the opportunity to say..WTF...about your driving.
