You know when you don't bother to complain to the management, why bother complaining here...........:Screen_of_Death:

Some just like to make noise.

I agree..Some people (poster) like to stand on the roof top hoping they are heard !

I have for the most part found telling management after the first bad bite takes care of it.

If it does not then I can choose my next step as I am afraid of heights!

Just saying!

just an observation about my own behavior [and the others i ate with yesterday]
we ate lunch at a CC after golf and had the pizza special

each one of us had something to say about the pizza. i said i don't like the fresh tomatoes if they are the kind that come in cellophane boxes.
and that's what they were.
i forget what the others said but it was something.

anyway about a third into the pizza the waitress came over and asked how everything was.......

practically in unison we said "oh the pizza's wonderful!"

she just serves the food, the cooks are busy and we all had jobs like that at one time or another

There are a few. I usually don't talk about them. I just don't go.
I also have some I've never been to.
If others like them, that's great.
If they truly are bad, they won't make it.

And?

Bonny 01-30-2015 03:54 PM

To put some things in perspective.
Someone was trashing one of the restaurants saying the meatloaf was awful, they said they should take it off the menu, etc, etc.
I said I was surprised to hear that because I love their meatloaf.

He then said, " I don't really like meatloaf, but someone said it was good, so I decided to try it and it was awful !!! " :ohdear:

Duh, why would anyone order something they don't like and then complain about it.
I don't like liver and if someone tells me someones is good, I'm still not ordering it. And.... if I did, it wouldn't be the restaurants fault that I didn't like it.
I know this has nothing to do with the thread topic, but I thought it was interesting. ;)

I've read several posts that use the expression " xxx par" as a golfing expression. So if a meal is above par, is it good or bad? Above par in golf is bad and sub par is good. Makes me wonder what my son said in a card that I was "above par" as a Dad. Hmmm!

Just trying to add a bit of sick humor.

I think above par means below par and below par means above par. It's like the expression "Bad". Bad is Good.

Nope...."above par" is to "par" as being normal or average...ergo: "above par" is feeling better than average...being a better than average person, place or thing. It in no way refers to "par" in golf speak....ta da!

Good food, bad food? Who cares, let's talk about the important stuff. Bonny, how are the drinks?

better than average is above par? is that correct?
so if par is a 4, is above par a 3 or a 5?

ooops, i guess i missed your point.
you are saying when people are above par it has nothing to do with golf.
what does par mean outside of golf?
i like learning new things.
