Thank you, I've been complaining about that since I moved here.

Good breakfast place for your August visit

First Watch - hands down!

taruffi57 07-05-2022 07:08 AM

Yes, but very inconsistent. We finally gave up as they like to douse everything in oil. Very good coffee, but if you order onions in potatoes, they will be burnt black. Rae Rae's

NoMo50 07-05-2022 07:16 AM

Depends on where you're from and what you like. For me, Darrell's Diner in Pinellas Plaza, or Toojays in Brownwood always fit the bill. Reasonable prices, too.

Toojays and Revelle are the best in my book!!

Great local breakfast & lunch restaurant, Kountry Kitchen, on Rt. 44 in Leesburg.
Their proper address is, 1008 W Dixie Ave, Leesburg, FL 34748. They close a 3:00pm.

Gullwing 07-05-2022 07:32 AM

I’m surprised that no one mentioned the fruitland park cafe. Located on 441. Small, friendly, and a great breakfast.

Wyseguy 07-05-2022 07:51 AM

Flying Biscuit.

McDonalds, their Bacon egg and cheese McGriddle with a side of world famous hash browns paired with their scorching hot coffee and fresh from concentrate orange drink is to die for. 🤣🤣🤣👌🏼

Netty’s Famous hot dogs, Marblehead Ohio. Always looking for a destination to drive our convertible.

Coney Island at the corner of 301 and 466A has good chili dogs...

When I go to Waffle House I always only get the large order of hash browns 7 ways.
Almost all Waffle House restaurants are located near interstate exits.
Closest one here is on 44 about 8 miles from Brownwood.

Billy’s Cafe on north 441/27
Or The Flying Biscuit in Lake Sumter. Don’t let the realtor send you way south. Look for homes north of 466 in old area or north of 466a near Sumter. Great resales north, too far south towards the prison.

YES!
I'm cheap when it comes to eating out........

I go to McDonalds, in Buffalo Springs a couple times a month.
Two sausage McMuffin with egg, senior coffee, I use a coupon, no tipping,
eat outside.

Under $5.00, Life is good.

Monika Greiner 07-05-2022 09:54 AM

Blue Fin Sunday Brunch outstanding

So now you've heard a recommendation for just about every local breakfast place, as well as chili dogs in Ohio. Welcome to TOTV! :1rotfl::1rotfl::1rotfl:

Prima steakhouse Sunday buffet

William Leverton 07-05-2022 11:39 AM

It is a little further, but try Wolfe’s in Leesburg. Good food, acceptable prices and old time “breakfast place” atmosphere.

maistocars 07-05-2022 12:40 PM

KeKe's on 441 in Lady Lake. IMO way better than First Watch if you like french toast, pancakes, omelets.

Fenny Grill is good. Just be aware that a teabag with hot water is $3.55 (which is a dollar more than their coffee).

fbbarbara 07-05-2022 03:03 PM

I can't believe no one has mentioned the New York Deli N Diner on 441 in Fruitland Park. It is awesome and they serve breakfast all day.

MarionDeLuca 07-05-2022 03:06 PM

TooJays or Frist Watch

Went there the other day, I agree. If Netty’s is a 10 Coney Island is a 7 or 8.

Is that $3.55 for the water? :1rotfl:

Last time I was at First Watch on 44 it was terrible. The best, most consistent breakfast, IMHO is at Toojay’s.

Jimmy R. 07-05-2022 08:48 PM

Red Sauce on Saturday and Sunday brunch is the best

Cookie Princess 07-06-2022 05:16 AM

Keke's and Flying Biscuit!

The last time I was there - granted it was over a year ago - they didn’t serve pancakes. In my world pancakes are a breakfast option staple.

The fresh squeezed orange juice is soooooo tasty you will think it’s fake- but you can see the big squeezer they use and it’s fun to watch the machine work!!

The cinnamon swirl cakes (pancakes) are ORGASMIC!! They taste like they took the best cinnamon but with lots of gooey icing and smashed it down and topped in with more gooey icing - but light and fluffy!!!

The MYSTIC stuffed French toast is INDESCRIBABLY delicious as well.

Oh and the cheesy grits!!! YUMMY FOR MY TUMMY!!!

Actually, everything I have tried as been great and the prices are actually pretty cheap considering how good the food is. Cheap and excellent food and service is hard to find in The Villages or anywhere these days.

Reveille is open 7AM-2PM- so they serve breakfast and lunch. There can be a long line but it moves fast usually not more than 5 or 10 minutes, and totally worth the wait.

WORTH THE DRIVE FROM ANYWHERE YOU ARE!!! Plus sooo many cool, beautiful and fun things down here, below 44.

Dag…..I’m sold on trying that location!

jjombrello 07-06-2022 10:44 AM

Daryl's has always been good. Several locations. Also have had very good breakfast meals at Perkins. Palmer Country Club has a very good brunch (excellent omelet) and free Bloody Mary with coupon. They will depart from the menu and make you a good egg, cheese, ham, pepper omelet.
