Good breakfast place for your August visit
First Watch - hands down!
|
Yes, but very inconsistent. We finally gave up as they like to douse everything in oil. Very good coffee, but if you order onions in potatoes, they will be burnt black. Rae Rae's
|
Depends on where you're from and what you like. For me, Darrell's Diner in Pinellas Plaza, or Toojays in Brownwood always fit the bill. Reasonable prices, too.

Great local breakfast & lunch restaurant, Kountry Kitchen, on Rt. 44 in Leesburg.
Their proper address is, 1008 W Dixie Ave, Leesburg, FL 34748. They close a 3:00pm. |
I’m surprised that no one mentioned the fruitland park cafe. Located on 441. Small, friendly, and a great breakfast.

Flying Biscuit.

Almost all Waffle House restaurants are located near interstate exits. Closest one here is on 44 about 8 miles from Brownwood.:wave: |
Billy’s Cafe on north 441/27
Or The Flying Biscuit in Lake Sumter. Don’t let the realtor send you way south. Look for homes north of 466 in old area or north of 466a near Sumter. Great resales north, too far south towards the prison. |

I'm cheap when it comes to eating out........ I go to McDonalds, in Buffalo Springs a couple times a month. Two sausage McMuffin with egg, senior coffee, I use a coupon, no tipping, eat outside. Under $5.00, Life is good. |
Blue Fin Sunday Brunch outstanding

It is a little further, but try Wolfe’s in Leesburg. Good food, acceptable prices and old time “breakfast place” atmosphere.
|
KeKe's on 441 in Lady Lake. IMO way better than First Watch if you like french toast, pancakes, omelets.

I can't believe no one has mentioned the New York Deli N Diner on 441 in Fruitland Park. It is awesome and they serve breakfast all day.

Last time I was at First Watch on 44 it was terrible. The best, most consistent breakfast, IMHO is at Toojay’s.
|
Red Sauce on Saturday and Sunday brunch is the best
|
Keke's and Flying Biscuit!

Daryl's has always been good. Several locations. Also have had very good breakfast meals at Perkins. Palmer Country Club has a very good brunch (excellent omelet) and free Bloody Mary with coupon. They will depart from the menu and make you a good egg, cheese, ham, pepper omelet.
