Best eggs are easily my own kitchen - no restaurant can match, nor do I expect them to. Going out for breakfast is either about convenience or to socialize with friends. With that said, Flying Biscuit and Reveille a both “serviceable” with OK egg dishes. Service good at each.

We did go to reveille for the first time last weekend and did enjoy the food and service was excellent

Thank you
Thank you - we did eat at Darryl’s and Reveille Cafe. Both were excellent. We are back home and working on numbers to see if we can make the move to the Villages.

Their omelets are awesome as is their toast and potatoes. I've eaten a Reveille several times as I live close to. The food is good and the service is great. But the portions are very small. When I go out for breakfast, I like to fill up. |

Darrell’s Diner!!!!! The best part of living in the Villages, is getting around in a golf car! First Watch is good of course. But you have to leave the bubble and you most likely have one near you back home!
Another favorite of ours is TooJays in Brownwood!!!! Enjoy your visit! |

Reviving this thread. I had a Dr. appointment this morning and saw Billy’s next door. Hadn’t eaten yet, very good breakfast and the potatoes were the best I’ve had in the area. Too bad it’s so far from my home. Darrel’s for convenience.

Cane Garden Country Club has resumed breakfast seven days a week! Outstanding!!! Great home fries, unbelievably fluffy omelettes, unbelievably fluffy scrambled eggs, and their smoked salmon eggs Benedict are incredible !!!!! And reasonably priced too!!

We enjoyed the elegant breakfast buffet served at the Brownwood Hotel and Spa this morning. They serve until 11:00. You can order continental $14 or full breakfast $22. There is a chef to cook eggs and omelettes to order, beautiful fruit buffet and extras. Yes, expensive but there are occasions that you wish to celebrate with a special meal. The weak point were the breads which were packaged. The setting is pretty in a dining room next to the pool.

My absolute favorite has not opened yet, Another Broken Egg. First ate there at the insistence of friends who practically DEMANDED we not leave Charleston without eating there. Don't think it had spread so much as a franchise back then, but sure looking forward to the one scheduled for Brownwood. |

Darrel's , Billy's , First Watch , or Evans Prairie.

It depends on what you mean by "best." Some folks consider a McDonald sausage egg and cheese mcmuffin to be the best fast-food breakfast sandwich. And some of us wouldn't eat one of those no matter who made it.
Some folks consider "good" to be smoked salmon, caviar, and goat cheese on toast tips. Others prefer a good old fashioned 2 eggs over easy, homefries, bacon, and white toast with butter and jelly. Some prefer theirs with grits on the side. For "good" in my opinion - there's nothing. A decent breakfast would be the Williamsburg on a toasted garlic bagel from Brooklyn Bagels on 441. That's lox, cream cheese, raw onion, add capers for an extra fee. Second best, for me, would be 1 egg scrambled well done, grill-top homefries also well done, 2-4 slices of hickory-smoked bacon grilled, not fried or microwaved, rye toast with real actual butter - not margarine. Darrell's is pretty good - though they always screw up the toast. Either burnt edges, or with a big nasty slab of margarine just sitting there congealed on the second slice, or both. |

Really? They blend the eggs?! No wonder they're so fluffy. |
Well, you have a variety of choices by now! I like Darrell’s Diner and First Watch, but for my money the best is Glenview CC for the weekend buffet. Prime Rib, eggs Benedict, fresh fruit, biscuits and gravy and everything else you can think of including bottomless mimosas for $19.99.

Just a hole in the wall but check out Todd and Shelly’s in, we’ll don’t know what town it’s in just go north on 301 and turn left on SE Abshier for about 1/2 mile on the right. I know it doesn’t look like much but you will love it.
