Hi - My husband has mixed dyslipidemia and his cardiologist said he can have heart association beef which is meat that is 96% lean. I buy it at Aldi and Walmart. But you have to look at the heart association label. Then I chop canned mushrooms and black olives in it. I buy the liquid Campbells onion soup and put it in a pan and put the hamburger patties in that. You have to do that step because 96% lean meat can be dry but when cooking it in either beef broth or a liquid onion soup it makes the meat less dry. Then I put lettuce, tomato, pickle, ketchup, low fat mayo, grilled and a thin slice of raw onion and it tastes really good while being lean. Hopefully if you get a taste for a burger although it is something you prepare yourself - it is a healthy substitute for what you would get in a restaurant.
