I have always enjoyed Palmer's burger. Recently, I've found the burgers at Farmshed in Spanish Springs outstanding.

There are no charbroiled 1/2 lb burgers in the Villages which is my preference. Most listings are for greasy burgers and that might be your choice. I would say the Chop House if I had to choose.

I agree, everybody will have their opinion! Just try several different places.

LOL, at my age I think my Dr. told me to quit eating because everything I told him I liked he said that was bad for ME for one reason or another. I eat a lot of chicken. Because everything else is bad for my blood pressure, cholesterol or glucose.

Surprising, but they have one of the top 3 cheeseburgers I have had going back to 1993: 1. Margaritaville, Orlando, 1993: had gravy on it with onions and Swiss cheese. 2. Twin Peaks Hilton, Phoenix 2005: seasoned beef patties and exceptional condiments. 2. Bonefish Grill, Merritt Island, 2012 and current: still top notch Kobe beef. I have had many GREAT burgers in my life, but these were the BEST, and hard to finish eating just because I knew they would be gone when I did! :icon_wink: |
In and Out burgers are great just a bit of a drive to get there for dinner

Glenview has a pretty good burger.

Best Burgers, Best Price
One of the best burgers, and a real bargain, is at Steak and Shake on 466 in front of Walmart.
All burgers are cooked to order, in sight (company logo is "In sight, it must be right"). Buns are toasted. French fries are very thin "shoestrings". The shakes are hand-made and are award winners. Sadly, due to the reduction in staff there is no longer table service and some favorites, such as the pot of baked beans, are not currently available. The preparation is the same as it was in the 1930's when Gus Belt founded the chain in Bloomington, IL. Many of us would have starved when in college if not for Steak and Shake. The kicker is that Steak and Shake has not raised its prices. Not only do you get a superior product, it is a bargain. The double cheeseburger combo with fries and a soft drink costs, roughly, $8.70 including tax! Be certain to ask for the "pepper" bottle to sprinkle on the burger. It is a small bottle stuffed with very mild peppers in vinegar. Frankly, ground black pepper is probably hotter. However, it sure seemed exotic and daring in the Mid-West in the 1950's! Also, enjoy looking at the old photos on the walls of the restaurants, cars, and carhops from the 1950's. |
Oakwood and Outback. Fast food burger, Five Guys. I was dragged to Culver’s the other and was pleasantly surprised at the seasoning. It is very tasty. I look forward to trying some of the recommendations.

Go to Steak and shake, and get a malt

In The Villages, I'd say Johnny Rocket's original cheeseburger.
Outside The Villages, Red Robin's original cheeseburger. |
