The only good thing I can say about Darrells is their homemade Potato Chips are amazing

Another good item at Darrels is their fluffy omelet. Can't find another fluffy omelet here. Had a place in NJ that had them.

I'll have to try out Johnny Rockets for sure. No idea they served breakfast. I have noticed since around spring the portions were cut back in almost all restaurants around here. Seasonal ?

When I have breakfast I find that I usually have a very light lunch and light dinner. It's the after dinner snacks that I have a problem avoiding! Darrells was fine for breakfast but now we have a Bob Evans down south and I prefer them and they are closer too.

I must get over to Rae Rae's sometime. It's not close so by the time I get there it could be lunch time. :icon_hungry:

We are fairly new here and breakfast is our favorite meal so we've been experimenting. Tried Rae Rae's and it was good but the ham for my ham and eggs was loaded with fat. Tried Darrel's on 441 and my wife's hash was lukewarm to cold. We sent it back to be reheated. My wife ordered her eggs over medium and the whites of the eggs were runny. She didn't want to send that back too so she just didn't eat it. Tried Billy's Cafe and no complaints. My veggie omelet was massive and good as was the homefries. My wife's blueberry crepes were also good. We also like Johnny Rockets and the buffet at Bonifay can't be beat.

I liked Darrell's.

I've been to Johnny Rockets for bfast, too. I thought it was quite good. Same for the new Bob Evans on 466A. My only concern is that both of these places (unless you customize) serve ENORMOUS bfasts. I used to be able to eat three-egg omelettes, but by the time you add the extra veggies or meat, I just can't do it anymore, and I used to PIG...OUT..., let me tell you. But I was young. What calories???

:mmmm:

I think the buffet at Hacienda Hills is the best. It is more of a brunch and has more selections.

What days do they have this brunch?

Thanks

Panthers,

According to Hacienda Hills web site:

Sunday Brunch: 9:00 am – 1:00 pm
The "Best" Breakfast Buffet in The Villages (their words, not mine)

Nice. Thank you. Will have to try it before the snowbirds come.

Small spot on 441, Fruitland Park Diner. Food is awesome and inexpensive, small, come after 9 for best results. Locals

If going that far, go to Rae Raes. Way better than FPD which was a one time and out for me.

Keke's

I had breakfast at Keke's this morning (first time there for me). I had the portabello omelet -- very good. Service was excellent. I would definitely go back to Keke's. I am going to have to try Rae Rae's sometime as so many on TOTV rave about it.

You are absolutely correct.
