The tables were given by the restaurant, all the women were there but the men walked in later and sat at the other table. That is when we found out there were 2 waitresses.

Had dinner there and really enjoyed it. We got there about 3:00 on a Tuesday and had no wait. I heard its been really busy, but the wait is worth it. I had the pastrami plate and it was wonderful. Would highly recommend this restaurant.

Went for a late lunch/early dinner today - arrived around 3:30 and no wait. Have to say it is the most interesting menu and best food I have had since we moved to The Villages 2 years ago. Not the same old, same old we see in our restraunts, but the real deal interesting food. The four of us shared an appetizer, had 7 beers, and each had a meal and the bill was $96 + tip. Worth every penny and then some. Can't wait to go back.

Shrimp Creole outstanding, One of the best Cajun dishes I have ever had, and I have had a lot of Cajun.

We went there with a group on Saturday afternoon. Weekends are much busier, and I recommend going mid week. It was lots of fun but they were overwhelmed with bikers from Leesburg Bike Fest. Still, it was pleasant, but no restaurant can cope with that big a crowd. My mid-week visits were better. I will leave weekends for the folks who work all week.

had lunch there on sunday, sat outdoors overlooking the beach, on the bar level; music was a bit loud but not so bad. there are signs on the beach prohibiting smoking, so the smokers would come up on the steps leading to the beach and then would light up. can yhou tel that i abhor smoking and do not want it anywhere around where i am eating or anywhere else?
food was good, drinks were a bit high priced for this area. will be going back to sample the dinner menu.......interesting choices. |
just went there today for first time-called ahead for party of four and arrived at 12:25,were seated right away on porch that overlooks the water on second level-food was delicious, bill was $78 for four with sodas and ice teas for drinks-we also had dessert which were the Spanish donuts[churros],they were delicious-Spanish catfish and creole chicken were great-will be going back-a great experience

Great views with great food. We are planning a 4 hour excursion on Lake Weir this summer. Rent a 16 ft pontoon boat at "lakeweirboarrentals.com". For 4 hours on the lake for 8 couples it is under $16 per couple. A nice cruise around the lake and lunch at Eaton's Beach. What a nice getaway so close to The Villages.

Eaton's Beach experience
Went to Eaton's Beach yesterday and was quite impressed. A nice beach, the Sandbar beach bar with live entertainment, a nice restaurant on the upper level, a happy hour, large outdoor areas on both levels to have a drink or eat, and really good food with excellent service. And perhaps the most amazing thing is that all of the aforementioned is smoke free. There is a designated smoking area to the side on the lower level for those who wish to have a cigarette. It is isolated enough not to be a factor.

What time were you there, and how busy was it? During high season you can't get near this place.

Have now had the pleasure of a meal at Eaton's twice. They undoubtedly have the best food in the area that I have found. The menu is interesting and diverse and sure to please everyone's palate. Prices are reasonable for the quality - actually it's well priced for the quality. If you go during the week it is much less busy now - weekends are still a mad house. You won't be disappointed.
