yes the same Jersey Mikes...don't know why they left but would love to hear the story. The Subs are excellent we think.

Basically, you mean new people bought the store and franchise. I am sure the Jersey Mike franchise has the same standards of quality to be applied to each store.

Good luck to them. As I said before, their subs were quite good and I did like that the meats were sliced fresh. Kind of pricey but good quality.

Had subs twice since they opened. The subs were good tasting, but were lacking meat. The meat is sliced very thin.

Just my opinion.

I totally agree about the very thin sliced meat. Mike's slicer is set on "see through" thickness, I think. But in fairness, the sub I had was very good. My biggest problem with most sub shops is the heavy use of oregano and other spices in their oil and vinegar dressings, so I really like the fact that Mike's puts the spices on separately from the dressing, which allows me to skip it entirely. All in all a good experience at Jersey Mike's.

wasn't there a jersey mike's here in the villages that closed about a year ago. wonder why they went out of business and now they are back (must be a different franchise owner?).

Went to jersey Mikes a couple of weeks ago when they opened. Long lines but went pretty quick. Food was excellent the quality of their meat and ingredients is far better than Publix. Firehouse is good though also but love them for their chili!

no - there's more to a sub than just the meat! and the quality of those ingredients make the tasting experience complete.

I would say yes AND no. I have heard about Jersey Mike's before, and after reading the various comments here I went and gave it a try yesterday at noon. I too agree that there's very little meat for the price you pay. It wasn't that it didn't taste good, it did, but there just wasn't much of it. If your idea of a sub is a lot of bread and veggies with very little meat, then they make a pretty good sub. If I go back I will ask if they have a "double meat" option like Subway does.

Double meat at Jersey Mike's = 2 slices?
