I think they're trying to look like an old-fashioned brothel. Not that I know what that looks like; that was my husband's observation. Hmm...:22yikes:

We have been there multiple times and like the place. Every time we have gone they are busy.

You mean to tell me that their are actually people in and around TV that will pay more than $1.50 for a pint of real honest to goodness beer!?!?!? A place that does not make it's stock and trade on low cost, beer colored water can attract a crowd and prosper??

I am shocked I tell you shocked!!

Tis amusing how everyone begs for a new, hopefully upscale, restaurant and then gripes about a $10 burger! Have you been to the grocery store lately? These places have loads of overhead and you aren't going to get good, quality food, burger or otherwise, without paying at least $10 per person. You can't have it both ways! Maybe we'll get lucky and get a Captain Ds, cheap enough but I sure would not label it quality seafood!

One think I don't know who their Interior Decorator is but I felt like I was in a Funeral Parlor lol. If you go to their site and sign up they will give you a $5 coupon.

This posts says interior looks like a funeral parlor, another says it looks like an old fashioned brothel and yet another says it looks tacky. The owner is from Oklahoma. I am from Texas. I think it looks like home to us.. :a20:
The tacky decor is expensive, service good, food ingredients are quality. All of this equals higher prices. Is it worth it? Not to me but hopefully a good Boomer Sooner neighbor makes a go of it in TV. He is no dummy. Btw, do you know the reason for the name? It is very interesting? When the owner graduated from the University of Oklahoma he opened a hamburger restaurant across the street from the university. He then went on to open many successful restaurants. He became very successful in other business as well. Now in his 80s, he wanted to open a new business so decide to go back to square 1", doing what he did in the beginning.

If they don't like the decor, guess they would not enjoy the Stockyards Hotel in Ft Worth! We love it!

I hear ya, but my point was that you can get a good burger elsewhere for less money. If I want an upscale, high-end restaurant, I want it for something other than a hamburger, and I will willingly pay the price for good food. I don't consider burgers to be high-end food, and so therefore I thought it was a bit pricey for the kind of food. I'm not condemning it, just sayin'...
