Happy birthday to everyone who has, is or will be celebrating a birthday this month. Aquamarine, one of my favorite gemstones, is your birthstone. Aquamarine belongs to the Beryl family making aquamarine a sister gemstone to other well-known gemstones such as Emerald, Morganite, and Heliodor.

Here are three images of aquamarine samples I have graded and appraised. As you will see, the hue, tone and saturation vary from one gemstone to another. This along with other variables affect value.
