Question Where to take Mini Cooper for service

I just moved here from Georgia and I'd like to take my Mini Coop in for service. My understanding is that Orlando is the closest dealership. Is there a place closer to The Villages that can do service/repair for Mini Coopers? I appreciate any suggestions.

There is a BMW dealer in Ocala, appears to be the closest to TV.

If you’re taking oil changes lots of places can do that correctly.

There is a mini mechanic in Wildwood, but it's so small you might not be able to find it. If you do, ask for Mini-me. He's the best small mechanic around.

I know this does not answer your specific question, but I use All German Motors in Leesburg and have noticed over the years they do many other exotic autos in addition to the usual German Audi, BMW, and Mercedes. You could call and ask, their work is superior.

If you know of a good mechanic at any Service Center, go to them.
All a technician needs these days is a laptop, competence, then basically following what the computer says.
I have my Volvo serviced at a local VW garage, because I know the guys are good at what they do.
The days of needing a specific car model specialist are long gone.

Stay away from that Leesburg outfit. German repair or whatever they call themselves. They double deal you on labor rates and they DO NOT have the proper up to date way or equip. to troubleshoot problems. I hauled my car out of there on a tow truck after $600.00 troubleshoot AC leak. They lied and said the warranty did not pay for any T/s which in fact they did . They wanted around $500 to change the filter and dryer. Customer price for the drier/filter is $19.00. Total rip offs.

Why does one need a dealership for anything other than recall service? It's simply yet another car, not a mystical object that only high-priests understand. In nearly 70 years of owning cars, I've never needed anyone other than a good, smart, auto mechanic. Most can do normal maintenance on almost any car. ... and at less cost.

Wildwood Tire, although the name suggests tire service as their main business, is very good at general auto maintenance. Give them a try.

We had a recall on our mini cooper last month and went to Orlando (Winter Park). Actually we had a really nice time. The dealer dropped us off at in the little downtown area of Winter Park that was better than expected. We walked around, shopped, walked around the streets to see the cool homes, went through the rose garden, and had lunch. Then we went to the outdoor shopping center (where the cheese cake factory is—I can’t think of the name of the shopping center). There is a museum in downtown Winter Park too, but it was closed on Monday. Our driver took us through Eatonville, Florida, the oldest black-incorporated municipality just to see it. The dealer offered a shuttle to drop us off or Uber (which was free as well). Then we sat in the dealership which had Starbucks coffee, warm cookies, ice cream, etc. It was a really nice day, and we will for sure go back to Winter Park to explore.
