Been there! Give yourself a little time before jumping back in. Your next partner will appreciate it!

Agreed. I've seen a couple of my buddies, that seemed to be in a hurry to jump back into a relationship after a divorce without taking the time to grieve and spending the time to get to really know themselves (after all, there's almost always some culpability from both sides). One friend even had a date tell him, after hearing about his recent divorce, that he gave off a bit of a "desperation" vibe. She said this to help him, not to be mean and instead of getting mad, he took it to heart and did what she suggested. He says it was some of the best advice he had ever received.

Just after my divorce I tried to date a woman I had known for years. She told me to wait a while which I did. After a year or more we dated and it was great!

Never saw a runner smiling either, but they're hooked on the sport. Don't confuse concentration with feeling miserable.

No, I was close enough to get wind to what was happening.
On a lighter note....I understand people are trying to memorize the steps....but, come on....its dancing...its still suppose to be fun.

Looking to get to know some nice women.

My interests are music and golf.

PM for more details.

OP,
the support your receiving from the folks on this site is really a true reflection of the quality of our neighbors!

As a suggestion from many of the folks I know that have experienced what your going through,... ensure your financial items are in order, going from one household to two plus split of $ at retirement with little chance of catch up can be catastrophic, wish you the best

Thank you to everyone that responded. I have met a lovely woman and we have been spending a lot of time together. I am a one woman kind of guy so my search has now ended. Hopefully, I'll never have to search again.

Don't take the "90 day fiance" route of finding a mail-order bride that is 40 years younger than you... they're only trouble and looking for a green-card.
