Not sure such a club would be viable. You will have to spend all your time recruiting replacement members.

I just want to report that I am doing well being 55! Even if I am in a new demographic on surveys.

I'm in my late 30s and would be interested in such a club as well...maybe a club for sons and daughters of Villagers?

Just tell interested people to send you a P.M. Then you have a club. Done!

What would this club do? I would be interested if it were under 65 so my hubby could be involved

Although this under 55 singles club is a good idea, wouldn't it be rather difficult to enforce?

"Hi, Julie. We love you and have grown to know you well over the couple years you've been with us in Under 55 Singles. But, even though you're an active member and still single, I regret to tell you that you are now 55 years old. Have a nice life, okay?"

I am really glad I saw this post. I am starting a group in The Villages for guests/residents. The group is called The Renesters Club. For people aged 25-50 that have moved back in with their parents (re-entering our parents' "empty nest," thus renesting) because of a sick parent, due to a personal illness, economy, etc. There are so many reasons that we are back living with our parents. I would like to meet some people my age and I'm sure other people would too. It will serve as a support system and function as a social club. We will meet at least once a month (perhaps more if we get a great response). I am looking forward to a great response. Please share my email address with those that may be interested. I need to compile a list of interested people to start the group in The Villages. My email address is email renestersclub@yahoo.com. The Facebook group is https://www.facebook.com/groups/223998637654897/. Please email or join the Facebook group.

that is good, but what about 51 - 54 ?

billethkid 08-04-2013 03:19 PM

the number is just that a number. How old you are is a function of who you are, what you are, how you do it, your attitude, your outlook.

There are many under 55 who look and act much much older.
And there are many many more who are over 65 and look and act a whole lot younger.

And there are those of us over 75 who wonder why the rest can't keep up!
