Baseball is a hard sport to watch on Television unless you know the game. It’s slow and boring. Plus, when you price the families out, you fail to capture the interest of the next generation. In other words, kids don’t want much to do with baseball. That’s a crying shame.
According to Team Marketing Report, the average cost for a family of four to attend a 2022 Major League Baseball game was $256.41, an increase of $3.04 from the previous season. The main engine behind the rise was the cost of tickets, with the average general ticket price increasing 3.6% to $35.93. How many families can afford that.

Blacks practically dominate football and basketball, so playing the racism card is a little disingenuous.

When I was a kid, you could get bleacher seats for 50 cents. Family of 4, $2.00. Our little league team would go to a game once a year. The whole team and 4 dads could go for less than $10.

Crate Cart (w roller skates): our equivalent of todays razor scooter
Remember the skates, they would slip over our keds or converse. They did not come with a shoe like today.
Box Ball: we didn't play box ball. We did play knock hockey if you recall that.
Ring o levio: a type of tag. We played breakout, where if tagged you were placed in a circle and could be freed if tagged by a team mate.
We had a name for a Spalding after it split. We'd flip the half inside out and continue to play. Very difficult for the batter.
I took me kids to see where I grew up. They were astonished. Back then I thought the whole world was like that (I guess we would be considered lower middle class). All we knew and all of our friends were in the same neighborhood, same school, same clothes. For us that was the world.

Tickets were much more affordable when we wore a younger mans clothes. As teenagers we would go very often by train. Shame prices have gone so high.

Wish they would build larger stadiums with cheaper seats in the upper decks or outfield but apparently that ship has sailed

Picking the best qualified for the job. Pick someone NOT based on pronouns, sexual preference, color of skin.

You do realize that this is 2022.

That may work with baseball, but it sure would not be allowed with most other jobs.
