It’s hard to be that patient sometimes. Lately, the movies I've waited to watch are exclusive to one App like only to Netflix or Apple TV, of Prime Video. That means I waited until it was out of theaters only to have to wait some more because it’s being held for ransom by one streaming service. By the time it finally gets to a platform where I can see it, I’ve forgotten about it or my desire to see it has passed. I won’t switch on/off platforms just to watch one movie.

I love going to a movie theater. Nothing beats the experience of viewing a film in the dark on a large screen. The atmosphere is something special, and brings back memories of yesteryear.

The point is that I would rather pay $25 to watch the movie at home than to watch it for free in a crowded theater. Watching a movie is not a social event, especially when rude and inconsiderate people think that their talking or cell phone usage is somehow more important than my enjoyment of the movie.

Watching movies at home spoiled me. I love being able to nod off or take an intermission whenever I want because I can rewind or start over whenever I want. I also prefer having homemade refreshments & sitting in my recliner while petting my little dog. The only movies worth going to a theater for would be ones with extremely good visual effects like Titanic or Star Wars. Can’t beat a giant screen with booming sound for those. I will watch Reagan when I can because it’s a biographical film but I’ve been been disappointed by Hollywood for many years. And I quit watching TV series’ in 1990 as soon as my son was old enough to show me the world thru his eyes.
