On Any Given Sunday was pretty awful. I'm surprised that Al Pacino would have anything to do with something like that. I think it may be the only movies I ever walked out on. I couldn't take all the camera shaking during the football scenes. I've been on an NFL football field and it doesn't shake like that.

Clockwork Orange is #1 on my list. Seven Psychopaths is up there too.

Seven Psychopaths had me scratching my head. Seemed to be a darling among the critics but not so much with the audiences.

I remember one of my bosses in a company that provided food services to Bowers Mansion Park in Washoe Valley, Idlewild Softball diamonds in Reno, Nevada; and a ski lodge that trained young kids in how to ski on Slide Mountain loved talking about A Clockwork Orange .

He disappeared on me for a while as I liked keeping up with the addresses of former employers. I had tried to call his former partner when I was in Reno, NV in 1989 for the Law Librarian convention. It turned out he had became a Warden in one of the State of Nevada prisons. I just hope he did not take A Clockwork Orange too much to heart.

Really enjoyed Chicken Run and Benjamin Buttons. http://www.rottentomatoes.com/m/chicken_run/ Found both very creative and easy to follow.

It has to be the original 'Rollerball' the one from the 70's I fell asleep!! Awful thing!!

janmcn 02-04-2013 12:14 PM

I'm surprised nobody has mentioned Ishtar...commonly knows as the worst movie ever made...starring Warren Beatty and Dustin Hoffman.

fwpc3 02-04-2013 12:57 PM

I would nominate Adam Sandler films, particularly Billy Madison.

Totally agree, sooooo boring and boorish. But then again, I also hated Braveheart. I know, I know....

Of course your entitled to your opinion

Personal Best Regards:

No Mercy with Richard Geer came out in 1986. Filmed supposedly in New Orleans, had Richard and a lady hiding in the alligator infested water in the dark. After squinting for over 30 mins, trying to see (and bored out of my mind), I walked out.

Never did that before.

Kind of liked that one just because the leading lady--Kim Basinger-- was quite attractive in that role.

One movie even though extremely well written, acted, and with great cinematogaphy, I did not much care for was No Country for Old Men. Just too bleak a portrayal of life for me. An even worse one along the same lines was Killer Joe with Matthew McConaughey playing a detective/hit man/pervert.

I loved 'No Country for Old Men' also. The 'hitman' scared the crap outta me. I was on the edge of my seat most of the movie. Saw it 2-3 times, I believe!!

No sure if I would say I loved No Country for Old Men. I have seen it a number of times because of the quality of the acting, writing, camerawork. It is one Academy Award winner for Best Picture I did not really want to buy. Same with The Artist.

I have a lot of the Oscar winners for Best Picture on DVD. http://www.oscars.org/awards/academy...-pictures.html

Got to agree with Seven Psychopaths. Awful.. Rented it this weekend. Critics said 82% audiences 78% liked it. Never pay attention to what critics say.

"Unknown", with Liam Neeson, should have been called "Absurd".

For all of its awards and acclaim, I found Sophies Choice to be dreadful. I started to fall asleep but kept waking myself up, thinking that it would get better. When I finally realized that it wouldn't get any better, I could no longer make myself go to sleep.

Joaniesmom 02-04-2013 11:51 PM

Has to be "Elf." The only movie I ever walked out of.

We saw Elf with Tal, Tar and Zac while in the very first row with craned necks and still enjoyed it. I find that whom you see a movie with makes a difference with how you remember it. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Elf_(film)

Hope not. Some of Talk Host's travel videos were quite good though.

I always really liked Winona Ryder so I really enjoyed Beetlejuice.

So many different tastes on TOTV in movies.

I never have seen "The Rocky Horror Show" but I have heard that it doesn't have much of a plot.

That's a movie for which you need an audience. It's quite boring without one. The Rocky Horror Picture Show is quite fun if you are there with a bunch of people who throw things at the screen as well as talk along with it. http://www.rottentomatoes.com/m/rock..._picture_show/

Saw it in Denver with a wild crowd mainly made up of university students in 1984 or so.

I would have a hard time getting a list up because of how differently some peope would view bad movies. Something considering awful by one person might be a movie so bad it is very good.

I hated this movie, but apparently others have really like it.

Polar Bear 02-26-2013 07:17 PM

Ishtar for me.

And I'm surprised to see Pulp Fiction on the list; a bit brutal, yes...but one of my favorites.
