Are three have had very long careers.

Of all the greats mentioned I would have to say that I like your selections the best. I would use yours in part, but I'll avoid being repetative. Mine are:

1. Sammy Davis Jr.
2. Frankie Lane
3. Robert Goulet

There are more I would rank right up there with those three, but the OP did say three! :p

Interesting. I have "Turn The Page" in my juke box. It was one of those double sided records. It is the flip side of "Old Time Rock N Roll". I'll give it a spin next time I play some tunes. I don't recall ever playing it.

Elvis

Dion

Ricky Nelson

The heavy metal group Metallica also had a version of it out but nobody can touch Seger.

I've heard 'Turn the Page' at least twice in the last week on the radio. He released the original studio version in 1973 on a rare early album called "Back in '72", and that version is never played. After Bob became popular he released a double live album called "Live Bullet" in 1976 and the live version of the song became a hit, and is what's on the flip-side of your '45.

If you like classic rock listen to WIND FM 95.5 from Ocala.

My favorites artist are;

The Doors w/Jim Morrison
The Beatles especially Abbey Road
Journey w/Steve Perry

I really have so many it's hard to narrow it down, I had over 4,000 albums before I moved here.

You may disagree with me but Glenn Fry was/ is The Eagles. Don Hendley was a main contributer but Fry was the man. But like Lennon/McCartney- Fry/Hendley were a team and needed each other to reach the next level.

What about Famous Final Scene...Like A Rock...Hard to rate many Seger songs above these.Although Turn The Page is right up there!

My 3 would be hard to list but on first thought I'd have to go with:Aerosmith-Led Zeppelin & Kansas!

Elvis

Led Zeppelin

Moody Blues

Famous Final Scene is my second favorite Seger tune. Close call between it and Turn the Page, but I really like the instrumental part of Turn the Page.

Think any three I name would be likely to change tomorrow. Top three songs, yes, but top three singers, not so sure but I'll try.

Janis definitely would be on my list for any song she did

John Mayall -- never missed him when he played in San Francisco; love Clapton, but Mayall playing the harp beats Eric out by a smidgen

John Coltrane -- his sax always gives me chills but Blue Train can bring me to tears

Tupac Shakur and Eminem -- both great wordsmiths

Number one all-time favorite song is by Meatloaf -- Paradise by the Dashboard Lights. I can listen to that song 1,000 times in a row and then ask that it be played again.

Otis Redding "Dock of the Bay"
The Hollies. "He's My Brother" and "Air that I Breathe"
El Divo

1. Beatles
2. Eagles
3. One of one hundred or more, changes daily.

Oldcoach Ed, I noticed you listed Hall and Oats. Maybe you've already seen it, but Daryl Hall has a website "Live from Daryl's House" where he does live video recordings with a lot of new and old artists. They do new songs and usually one or two of the H&A classics. I love the site and check it out often. Suggest you check out Episode 40 where Daryl travels to Kauai and his band plays with Todd Rundgren. If you like Hall & Oats, you probably like the "other" great Philly rock and roller, the Runt.
