"Paradise By The DashBoard Light" could be the best song ever produced. A classic with the help of Todd Rundgren. This is also in my juke box. # 146/ flipside Two out Of The Ain't Bad.

My 2cents worth!

Picking a short list of 3 favorites is a chore, but my short list has to include:

Eric Clapton
Stevie Wonder
The Who

She loved Bach, Beethoven, The Beatles and me. In that order. Don't know why I suddenly remembered that line from Love Story.

Beethoven
Led Zepplin
Moody Blues
Beatles

Oops, that was four. I also love two Janis's: Joplin and Ian. The Eagles. Mozart! Ok, I've got to stop. I'm way over the limit...

Singers? For me it would have to be:
1) Ella Fitzgerald
2) Andrea Bocelli
3) Kiki Dee

The Moody Blues concerts with symphony orchestras around the country were masterpieces. Saw them in Fargo in '94

So many from the 50s and 60s it's hard to pick three, but I guess:
Beatles
FV and Four Seasons
Elvis

We just saw JERSEY BOYS this past weekend in NYC and it is now one of my all time favorite plays. So incredibly well done!

3 favorites of ALL time? you gotta be kidding
Duke Ellington
Miles Davis
Charlie Parker

Impossible for me to name three because different genres elicit differrent names. Sinatra, SDavis Jr, Perry Como in one. Peter Paul and Mary, Kingston Trio, Brothers Four in another; Four Lads, Lettermen, Four Freshman in a third, etc etc etc. But sticking to the rock/pop theme, I'll go with The Beatles, The Beach Boys (can't believe no one else mentioned them yet!) and The Eagles. All three groups created songs that were not only popular, but also told great stories that related to real people. Brian Wilson was a genius at taking the typical teenage experience and putting it to music.

I have about a dozen favorites. Among them:

Andrea Bocelli
Sting

Tom, you can't do this!

What you are trying to do is for me to select the 3 best kids from the 9 kids we raised! So, what I am going to do is by genre. In the Blues category, I would say Muddy Waters, John Lee Hooker, Eric Clapton. In the Jazz category, John Coltrane, Miles Davis, Dave Brubeck and I need to separate the singers Diane Schuur, Nina Simone, Ella Fitzgerald. Crooners would be Frank Sinatra, Matt Monro(who I was introduced on TOTV recently) and Andy Williams. In Country category Jim Reeves, George Jones, Johnny Cash. No, no, can't do it!:sing: I am getting headache. Where to put Elvis, Pat Boone, Bing Crosby, Frank Patterson. Forgot Pavarotti. Damn:oops:
