Thermae Romae Novae (New Roman Bathhouse), anime series, on Netflix. A Roman architect from approximately 130 A.D., Lucius Modestus, is fired from his job designing bathhouses because his ideas are old fashioned. One time in a bathhouse he falls down a drain into a 21st century Japanese hot spring. Each time he goes down the drain, he enters another part of Japanese bathhouse culture. At the end of each episode, the writer/illustrator visits a different Japanese hot spring or bathhouse that inspires her series. The English narrator’s booming voice fits perfectly. This was reviewed in The Daily Sun.

We are two episodes into Killing Eve and wow — hooked. Two brilliant women — Good v. Evil — and funny in that dark, edgy way. (Eve and Villanelle. . .a writer smiled wryly when choosing those two characters’ names.)
