Thanks for giving me the option.

I'm kinda with Richie. The bright Emerald Green is definitely glaring.

I'll give it some time before I decide to switch to the old style.

Wow, what a bright spot to an otherwise ho-hum day..returning to work after the holiday. Luv the new look...

bkcunningham1 05-29-2012 05:47 PM

My color driver has been messed up on my laptop for some time now. I've gotten use to it and use my husband's computer when viewing photos and other things where the color is important. I'm hoping the Kelly green I see when I logged onto TOTV isn't the color everyone is seeing.

This will take some getting use to, but the lettering is certainly big enough.

It's a great new look! Thanks so much. Let me go back now and check everything out

Love the new look!

OldDave 05-29-2012 07:14 PM

Sure appreciate the hard work, and it is attractive. In my case about 1 inch of the right side is lost and you have to scroll over to get it. I do have my screen magnified a bit to see without my glasses. I guess I'll need to go back to the old one.

EXCEPT, I don't seem to be able to find where to return to the old view. HELP.

I am glad I am not the only one that has to move the screen over to get the last inch,

Scroll all the way down to the bottom. In the bottome border on the left you'll see a drop down menu. You can click between the 2 options.

OldDave 05-29-2012 08:05 PM

Thanks Richie. I found those options in the User CP, but no matter what I picked it didn't work.

Thanks again.

Folks you could tell before who was on-line. Little green light by your user name mean anything to you?

mrdarcy 05-30-2012 05:47 AM

Font is crisper

The font is now crisper and easier to read. Superb upgrade.

getdul981 05-30-2012 06:43 AM

I'm going to have to agree with Richie. The new style "looks" very nice, but since I am colorblind, the old style looks better to me. It's much clearer to me than the new one. I appreciate all the work that went into the new design, but I believe I will have to revert to the old style.

GOJODO 05-30-2012 06:50 AM

Great Job!:clap2:

thekeithfan 05-30-2012 06:59 AM

great improvement! Last one looked like... well lets just say a computer savy young person didn't put it together.

KathieI 05-30-2012 07:08 AM

I like it,,, I like it... wasn't sure I was going to like the green, but the color combination is wonderful. Very easy to read.

Thanks, guys.

Thanks for the info Richie. It's great to have a choice of two looks. I find the blue a little more restful. :mornincoffee: I don't want to wake up too suddenly.

Are your screen sizes set at the default setting? This may or may not be a solution to the problem, but try resizing using the following:

<ctrl> 0 = Default Size
<ctrl> + = Increase Size
<ctrl> - = Decrease Size

If it works great. If it doesn't, c'est la vie! Nothing ventured, nothing gained!

kathy and al 05-30-2012 09:24 AM

I was going to suggest a polling to see how many positive responses vs. negative. After reading all the posts up to this point I don't think a poll is necessary. Looks great!!!

mac9 05-30-2012 09:43 AM

Color is just a little bright for me...find it distracting. Will utilize the prior screen.

Ceafolks 05-30-2012 10:13 AM

Looks great to me. :BigApplause:

Regor 05-30-2012 11:04 AM

I like the old style better. Now if you could do something about all the ads! I hosted a forum for about 2 years. No ads. But then I wasn't out to make any money on it. Check out BurgmanUSA Forum and Website for an example.

LoriAnn 05-30-2012 12:45 PM

I love the new look! I even like the ads. They are not intrusive and easy to navigate when I'm looking for a particular vendor/product. Well Done!!

CaptJohn 05-30-2012 03:09 PM

Looks good to me but the default font size (or style?) of the posts seem smaller and harder to read on my old eyes. Looks like it was dropped from size 12 to 10. Still have to slide my screen by 2 inches to read it all (using Apple computer). Only KathieI has lettering I can easily read!
Admin, can you increase the default font size slightly?

probably that way so that the ads are larger than the posts - or maybe because of the background color behind the post?

I agree with above - have had to default to the old.

Testing a reply using font size 3 to see if it is more readable

. Here is font size 2

And font size 4

Hey kathie, do you have a default setting for your replies that enlarges the font and makes it purple? I did find yours nice to read.

Blackie 05-30-2012 05:14 PM

I find the default (old) style much cleaner and easier to read.

I don't care for the new style at all.

Thanks for giving us the choice.

Thanks for the test. Font size 3 looks just fine to me.
