The purple is good until quoted and then it is hard to read on the green background. But then so are a lot of the other color fonts.

I Like the clean clear look and it seems easier for my eyes to read the posts. I think it is the contrast. THe white really stands out against the green and the beige feels very relaxing. Thanks for all your hard work.

Like the new look...wish the ads were at the top or bottom vs the side. I have to slide screen over on every page.

Overall functionality is better. I agree that green jumps out at you, anyway you could provide an optional color like blue? For a touch screen device, such as my iPad, the page buttons need to be significantly bigger to be user friendly.

Thank you, but I get the message "Add-on for this website failed to run" whenever I click on a topic or change pages. What am I doing wrong? Do I need the add-on? :shrug:

PS: I just got the 'add-on failed to run' message when I posted this while using the old default style. I thought it only happened with the new style, but I was wrong.

Maybe your browser needs an update R U using IE, FF etc, click the update option then try.

I don't find it easier to read at all. Everyone so far on this thread loves the new look except me. I do love the green but the darker back round color for the text makes it more difficult for me to read. The color scheme would be fantastic if only the text back round color was a bit lighter. I selected the default so I'm back using the original lighter blue and white colors.

So thankful, I'm not alone.

Now that I have read the entire thread, I see there are a few other folks who prefer the original colors and are taking advantage of the choice not to use the new color scheme.

Just wondering what features are new to the forum with the new color scheme. Do we still have the new features even if we use the old color scheme?

Hello Everyone - based on the valuable feedback of everyone we have just performed an update to make the fonts sizes in the post and threads a little larger and actually made the font color a darker black.

Hopefully these slight improvements further help the user experience.

We adjusted the font down 1 pt so this combined with the darker black font should hopefully be a good middle ground for everyone. Unfortunately we don't all have the same eyes!

Why must I default to the old version each time. Can't i just do it once?

You should be able to do it just once. It works for me. I defaulted to the old blue style (at the bottom left of this page). When I log in now, I always get the default style.

What can be done to get rid of all the annoying little come-ons (pop ups) that say you need to go here or there or upgrade your video player etc etc. It is very distracting. I don't see these things on other sites.

I hope you've now become used to the new version (new in 2012). I finally reluctantly converted. Now the old default version looks yucky to me.

P.S. I just checked Diskman's Profile. He last signed on in January 2013. I guess he really didn't like the new version.

We don't have any pop ups on the site. You may want to run an anti virus and clear cookies/cache.
